Not having to get emissions or inspection performed on my car, I'm rather ignorant to these CARB numbers and requirements and such. I suppose I can understand visible mods like I/H/E, but if you have aftermarket cams that aren't too wild and retain stock idle characteristics, how is an inspection station going to know whether or not you have stock or aftermarket camshafts?

Yea. If you read my other posts, you can see my pops didn't want me to get Bigger Cams. He said to either get smaller cams or stick with Stage 1's, and NOT goto Stage 2's (because of Smog).
It was too late because the night before I had this conversation with my Dad, I had already sold my Skunk2 Stage 1 cams, and he said he was gonna go out of Town for 2-3 weeks. He also left his car at the Shop and told me to send the Cams to them instead. I told him ok, and so he left. I couldn't back out so I just went ahead and bought me another set of Skunk2 cams for $700.00 for me. What a WASTE of money!!!
I basically sold the SAME exact cams for $575.00 and bought the SAME exact cams for $700.00
Only difference was that one was used for 2000 miles, and the other one is New.
It was too late because the night before I had this conversation with my Dad, I had already sold my Skunk2 Stage 1 cams, and he said he was gonna go out of Town for 2-3 weeks. He also left his car at the Shop and told me to send the Cams to them instead. I told him ok, and so he left. I couldn't back out so I just went ahead and bought me another set of Skunk2 cams for $700.00 for me. What a WASTE of money!!!

Finally! I've been waiting to pick these up, but they were always CARB EO pending. Any news on the intake, if it's certified now?

why is your dad involved in how you mod your car? if he doesnt pay for the car or the mods, i dont see why he should determine what cams you get...

really, they don't. i had a cop tell me that i could have just bought it (the carb sticker) off of ebay and slapped it on. He also told me i wasted my money when i paid extra for my AEM CAI b/c it had a carb sticker. If they're going to be dicks, they're nothing you can do about it.

heh...your dad pays for your mods while my dad doesn't want me to do anything at all to my car. plus we're broke ***...you're dad must be ballerific. that's koo that he's down with you doing this stuff, he into the car scene too or something?
