Default Need a Shock absorber!

My car is a 1995 GSR stock, my rear shock absorber start making noise. What is a good replacement shock, stay with OEM or used an aftermarket? I just replaced my front shock probably 2 year ago so fairly new.

Unless you plan on upgrading on all four corners, stick with OEM.

If you do all of them I reccomend KYB AGX's. I've used them on both of my DC's and they ride great. Look on tirerack.com. They give a discount on them.

If I decided to replace all of them, does it come in set, front and rear? I don't have any clue at all.

Get some tokico blues. Contrary to popular belief, these are much better than stock. They're not top of the line, but they're a hell of a lot better than the stocks, honestly.

My good friend has had his blues on for about two years, always dumped this low (rice! haha) on skunk2 coilovers. It's the silver dc (mine's the white dc)...

The tokico blues don't control spring rates that high that well, so his ride is a little bouncy, but the shocks are holding up well. The ricer bounce is actually pretty comfortable, haha. Nothing like my Koni/GC though, nice and stiff

We have Bilstein yellows on the '94 GS-R (also on the '91 NSX and the front of the '01 ITR) and they're very nice - nice ride comfort for daily driving, nice firmness when driving hard.

Most aftermarket shocks (including the Bilsteins) come with a lifetime warranty. Whatever you get, save your receipt!

How are tokico blues (or any shock) loud?

Anyway he didn't say he wanted to go for the best bang/buck shock, everyone knows Koni Sports are a great replacement.

I need someone that is kind and with loads of patience to list what exact parts I needed if I will replace my front and rear shock absorber. I look at both the KYB AGX's and the Bilstein I don't know which one is best for just daily drivig. Do I just buy the shock absorber? Thanks again.

I daily drive my teg with the Kyb agx's and I have no problems with them. Everything you need will be right here on tirerack.com http://www.tirerack.com/suspen...d=KYB

I only bought the struts/shocks, but you may want to look into getting the mount also. In case they are worn out. And yes the lifetime warranty is definitely a positive to having these.
