Intermittent starting probs, please diagnose
I have been having some intermittent starting problems with my g2. Sometimes it just wont start. Really, it only happens after driving for a bit and then shutting the motor off. It happens infrequently and is not weather dependent. The starter solenoid will click, but the starter motor will not engage to turn the engine over. Starter is less than one year old. The battery shows 12v during these times when the car won't start, and will operate the headlichts, etc no problem. Battery is also less than a year old. At first, I thought it was a starter problem, but when I jump started the car, it starts right away. I could sit and try to start it for say, 2 minutes or 20 minutes, and it will just click, and then all of a sudden it starts right up as if nothing were wrong. I am prettu sure it is a battery problem, but I would like suggestions anyway. I checked out all of the engine ground locations, and they looked ok.
Suggestions??

Most likely the lead that goes to the starter. Try recrimping it.
You might as well clean the contact at the battery though, it could still be that even if you are getting power to the accessories.
