Humming Noise from Inside Intake Manifold
I have a 98 integra ls and there is a humming noise coming from inside my intake, It makes the noise with or with out the stock filter on it. I know about the whistle that the intakes make but this is a humming noise when it is at idle. Does nayone know what this could be?

ran into this problem this weekend...
check where your intake manifold connects to your block. you may have a cracked intake manifold gasket, and a leak will cause that humming sound. if you have a leak, you should have an irregular idle as well.
if your car is working fine besides the humming sound, i wouldnt worry too much about it.

guys, he said its coming from his intake manifold... he's got a stock air box on his car.... which leads me to think its a gasket leak.

Re: Humming Noise from Intake
Hey, everyone. I'm having the same problem, well kinda. I have a high and low in on idle. It jumps about 2 rpm. I've had five head gaskets blow. every time different place. I've had the head milld port polished everything from the block up is new, but I keep getting water in my cylinders and all the way back into my intake. I cannot figure out what the hell is going on.. PLEASE HELP!!! After I rebuild it the last two times runs great for about a week then I get the water back.. Please email me at tblankenship89@gmail.com or facebook for a quick respond. Thanks.
