GSR owners! Can you hear IAB at 5800?
This is only for people running a b18c1 with a stock manifold and their butterflies active.
I hear vtec at 4500 and it is very pronounced, but no audible or noticeable 'kick' at 5800 for the IAB.
I have read threads and have been told that hearing that vtec at 4500 is typically more difficult to distinguish when compared to the very NOTICEABLE IAB at 5800
I just got an intake and an exhaust.
Do you guys hear both? 4500 and 5800? Or just vtec at 4500?
I am wondering if my IAB are opening properly. I will do a vacuum check tomorrow.

Before I changed my manifold I could hear it just fine. Slightly noticable difference at 4500 then at 5500 it was loud. This was with header & intake

2000 gsr-- my iab clearly opens at ~ 4k rpm followed by my even more obvious vtec engagment at 5800 rpm. it should happen in this order if its stock

And my iab solenoid is getting no vacuum, so it is constantly open? Any tips to why?
I just swapped and wired this. It's an obd2 gsr motor,
I got the red wire from the plug going to a17 and the other black wire going to ground.
Thanks guys

Im looking at the service manual, and it says that pink/blu goes to ECU and black goes to PGM-FI relay, but mine is grounded. Unless PGM-FI relay is ground? ...............

Yea, the butterflies are usually distinctively louder than the vtec engagement. It's barely audible at 4400 while at 5800, the car is noticeably loud.
