Hey Guys,

I have a 92 LS 5 speed. When I accelerate, the car shakes especially in 2nd gear. The stearing wheel does not shake but the entire body shakes. I'm thinking it's my motor mounts but I could be wrong so I'm looking for suggestions of other possiblities. Also, if it does turn out to be the motor mounts what's the easiest way to change them?

hey dude, i dropped a 96-spec itr motor into a mates orthia a couple weeks ago and had the same problem. i checked all the mounts and they were sweet. it turned out that it was a sloppy CV. it was basically under heavy acceleration the whole car shudderd pretty bad.sounds simmilar to your problem, so i would get them checked

oh and to check if it's mounts, just put your foot at WOT then take it off and then on so you get the motor really rocking backwards and forwards then listen for any knocking. that would determin if it was mounts.
