Default Blue smoke in high rpms

Hey guyz. to start with its a poormans type r. I just finished rebuilding the whole motor. From top to bottom. acl bearrings to itr pistons with honda rings (yes they r clocked right) to a resurface, valve job and seals on a 00 b16 head. the bottom is a 00 gsr c1 block. I have arp head studs. now car drives perfect just smoke in higher rpms.

I smoke a lot when i frist put it together and rebuilt it to realize there was a never a pcv valve in the back . i went to autozone and bought a ls pcv valve.

Its not smoking like before but now only smokes in high rpms.

Compression came up 215 215 215 215 in each cylinder. I dont know what it could be.. the head gasket was torqued down on the motor twice before i actually turned on the car tho. i used copper spray also.

Any help would be great and if you rather text me that would be super awesome also guyz. 813-220-3061

valve stem seals would leak when you deacelerate as the increased vacume would pull the oil in. smoke at High RPS is rings. The higher RPMS increases the amount of oil that gets splashed on the cylinder wall making the oil control rings job harder.

Oil control rings or bad cylinder walls....might try giving it hell and see if you can't get the rings to set in a little more before you rip it back apart.

you put new rings and seals etc...but you failed to mention if you had the bores honed or checked....if you just put new rings in the old bores chances are the rings are not sealing perfectly causing some oil consumption.

just live with it or else you will have to pull it all back apart.

when you rebuilt your engine, what tolerances did you set your piston and cylinder to? What I'm saying is that you can get some piston tilt if your tolerances are anything lower than OEM spec which could cause oil to leak past the rings at higher RPMs. Because oil is a more dense substance than a gas, at high RPM's it takes a little more force to make it move (more inertia). therefore, it may go past the rings and burn if the tolerances aren't in spec.

When I build my engine I'm going from 81mm (stock bore) to 81.5mm bore and 81.5mm pistons and rings in order to keep in factory tolerances. Some just re-hone the cylinders and put new rings in there and call it good, but I'm a believer that this is not enough.

keep in mind that because I haven't built an engine to date (just torn them down), my claims may need a bit of revision from more experienced engine builders, this is just what I've gathered over car-talk.

yeah,,bad cylinders it is...if you just put new rings in the old Oil Pressure Switch chances are the rings are not sealing perfectly
