so this engine came from the 92-93 integra gsr.
My question is: what is stamped on the head? is it the same as all other gsr's? p72.

because my friend has a b17a1 and claims its all stock, I don't believe him because his head has pr3-4 stamped on it, which is what the b16 heads came stamped with.

can somebody tell me what the 92-93 gsr heads were stamped?

there is 4 cirlces with numbers stamped on them (on the exhaust side of the head)... sort of like 9|1...this would be a 91...its the 1st of the 4 circles that indicates the year. If its a 92-93 its could be a b17 head. There some form on here that tells you what the stamping means i cant find it though.
PR3-1 , 2 ,3 , 4 Could be a B16 ITR or a B17. Its hard to tell.

dont forget that vtec was avail in japan before the US.
and the 92-93 gsr is the first one to start the vtec craze...

not rly its the same just look up the jdm b16 that came in the xsi da same set up.

it's a b16 head that comes on the b17 i own one and my head is a pr3-3 there are different types of pr3's like pr3-1,2,3,4 that's how they came b17 bottom end b16 head.

It is a b16 block with a crankshaft with a slightly longer stroke.
