Default Anyone tried these eBay fender liners?

My car has been 98+ converted since 2004, and for that entire time I've had the original 94 fenders liners with zip ties to hold the front ends of the liners to the bumper, because they don't match up to the 98+ bumper. I never replaced them because they were so expensive for new OEM ones. But now I see 98-01 aftermarket liners on eBay for just $35 shipped for the pair. Anyone tried them before? Figured it might be worth it to rid my car of one of those longstanding annoyances its had over the years.

i've never tried them, but for $35 SHIPPED for a pair i can't imagine they will hold up well. Hopefully someone chimes in with first hand experience, because then i'll know how they are too lol

Might be one of those things that's cheap enough to just try with no F's given whether they hold up or not. Or I could just leave what's on my car and not worry about it.

I purchased a shell once that had those replica liners. They were really flimsy compared to the OEM ones. The shape is correct and I'm sure you can make them work and last long in certain conditions, but I feel like they would be susceptible to tears/rips on a lowered car if there was ever any rubbing. Also I'm not sure how stable they would be in extreme weather, both hot and cold.

I have on an old prelude. They are trash. Don't waste your money, spend it on OEM liners. Find some in a junkyard or buy new ones. The holes never line up. The plastic doesn't conform correctly and allows lots of water and debris to pass into the fender. What many don't realize is how aftermarket companies that produce those liners obtain the manufacturing molds. Honda will use a mold until it is past a point in production that it is no longer up to snuff for making OEM parts. Eg. they made a million liners with the mold and it reached its expiration date. After that point there is no guarantee that they will be able to produce more at the same level of quality. They then sell the molds off to an aftermarket company that use the molds to create the OE spec parts. Because the molds are end of life when the aftermarket company gets them the quality is no longer at the OEM quality spec set by Honda and you end up with misshaped, misaligned crap but at a savings. From personal experience, never again.

Thanks guys, I'll definitely pass. My liners have a couple of rub marks from the tires at full lock, and I would be afraid these cheap ones might get ripped out from the same tire contact.
