ya theres like ten main screws, and then theres like some more for the weather seal to the engine bay. also ya have to take off the wiper arms. The weather seal clips are the trickiest; i just pried them out with a flathead. (soneone correct me on a better method). And when your taking off the wiper arms, make sure to press the midle joint down...allowing you to pull the arm straight up.

i believe all it is are the clips that are either popped off and unbolting the wipers off and it should come off

yep,

- unbolt and remove the wipers
- pop up the tabs along the upper part of the cowl -- there's a little notch where you can fit a very small flat-head screwdriver to do this -- then pull them out.
- then remove the clips along the cowl that sit inside the engine bay -- i haven't figured out how to remove these clips without breaking half of them. they're a huge pain in the ***.

I would rethink putting a vacuum canister in a place that is not easily accessible. It would be quite a PITA if you ever had a vacuum leak.

i didn't like doing this, but i just snapped off the ones i had trouble with, with pliers. i used zipties in their place. i have no idea how to take those things off easily with regular tools.
