If this was a verified fact I'd feel alot better about buying one.

the turbos aren't bad...just that most people who buy them install them wrong so they crap out from oil starvation...they aren't setup from the factory to run with the honda manifolds they sell them with. oil passages are obviously rotated WRONG for use with a honda manifold...yet these idiots are tossing it right on the car without rotating the center chunk so the oil inlet is facing up and oil outlet is facing down...they're just tossing it on as seen in the picture:

so that the oil outlet is facing straight the **** up! lol!! and they wonder why it dies...hell you combine that with shitty oil that cokes up since it can't drain out after the engine is off...that or getting NO oil at all...god only knows where these guys are tapping for the oil feed if they don't know enough to rotate the housings...

I've got a friend with one of these...I talked him into it actually (rather him blow up than me haha ) and he's running it now without any problems...it IS loud as hell...sounds like a mini jet engine when it spools (kinda cool sounding) and I intend to buy one of the manifold/turbo combos for my 91 integra project soon and just weld a few braces on the manifold and be done with it.

but that's just me...

Might as well change Honda-tech's name to ClubSI or http://www.stunna-tech.com because with all this mis-information and people spouting crap with no experience, it makes us ALL dumber

yeah, they are unbelievably expensive heh...I just think it's funny as hell

looking

Also, for the topic:

these aren't shitty turbos LOL, if installed properly and USED properly (ahem using a blow-off valve...and not sticking cheesecloth over the turbo inlet as a "rock protector" instead of a true filter) and using proper oils they'll work just fine.

HELL, these people literally stole the key to the patent department and are making these damn things from the same type tooling for normal T3's...the parts are interchangeable!! about the worst thing that could be on them is the bearings/seals...you can get a TRUE Garrett T3 rebuild kit off eBay for $75 so you take that...add the $350 for the price of this turbo and still come in half the price of a turbonetics T3 which is $1000 or more new...

and like I said...I conned my friend into buying one and he's been ******* the **** out of it for the past few months and it keeps coming back for more so either he got "lucky" or these other idiots just fucked up when they put theirs on...

Just like the people claiming those Tial knock-off wastegates are crap...those things rock and for a fraction of the price. I know, I've got one and I'm not afraid to say it

wow?? really?? too bad a super60 only has a .60 a/r and this one straight up has a .63 a/r...for $50 less...as the original post in the thread states.

Not only that but this turbo is based right off a T04E center section which is known to flow more than a standard T03 (which the super60 is based off of)...

but damn nice of you to point that out....

I've said my peace...I don't care about this topic anymore...if you want to keep hating go ahead and have fun loser. Last bit from me, they apparently sell well enough that they are continually listing them, so they WILL not go away. You hear bad things about them for sure: cheaper prices=higher volume with less knowledgeable customers to **** **** up and spread bad word...

boohoo complain, bitch, moan, cackle...

I can say that I personally used this turbo, and the seals only lasted for about 300 miles. It wasn't from oil starvation, nor was it from a bad oil return line. And I always had it turbo timed. Also two of my friends have used it and same thing, the seals blew around 500 miles. One went back to his turbonetics t3/t4b that had around 6000 miles, and the other guy had a garrett t3. I'm still out of a turbo. And I also saw a few posts on here about the same thing that happened to members here.

a garrett T3/t4 which is known t be a good turbo is only 550$ shipped. while this turbo has gone up in price of 475. why pay 75$ less than a turbo which a few people on this board alrady know is crap. so shut up n drink your juice.
