But coated pistons, arnt SHINY and SMOOTH as you think.
Who am I tho, ask a real engine builder about it. -=P Even call JE themselves.

Yes, this happened to me to when i put them in parts washer. After i saw them i just throw them away. There will be toooooo much friction between pistons and cylinder walls.
Don't use those pistons, I'm serious. Like people here told you it is better to sell them and buy new ones. Here on HT there are some good sellers which can give you really good price for new ones.
Think about it. It will be the same story like with OBX cams people are using.
