I dunno if it's just me or what, but it does seem like other turbo folks I talk to still get the giddy feeling in the pit of their stomachs when they get on the throttle.. have I lost that loving feeling? Does anybody else get, well, 'bored'??? I mean I love turbo life and I certianly don't wanna go back to the snail pace of NA, but It just seems like I get used to boost quickly, even turning up the boost only provides a short relif...

I think your body/mind will eventually adjust to any situation. I doubt I would go back to n/a if I got used to boost. Heck I like driving anything turbocharged including cars, tractors, and trucks.

Try driving a slow POS daily driver.

you eventually get used to the feeling and lose some of the rush, i always have used that as a guide to know when its time to upgrade some more. a buddy told me once " if you're not scared to go wot, its time to spend more money"

When you start down the slippery slope of actually adding HP to your engine, it is like trying crack for the first time. The added rush feels awesome, but soon enough you will get used to that dosage, and the amount must be upped. Then it feels good again, this time before you know it you're already thinking of how to get more. Then you have gandiose designs in your head about how to get a huge amount at one time to satisfy you for a long time. Enough to frighten you should hold you over for a while you think to yourself. The you actually pull it off. You get that big score. Your car is frighteningly fast. you realize that a FWD car with stock brakes, and suspension, and a chassis designed to handle 1/4 of the power you are making is just not a good idea. You know these things must be upgraded. Then you look at you account statements. Where'd my money go? You get to a point where MAJOR things will have to be done to extract more power. Then you realize your addicted. By then it's to late. You can't look at a car without forming a list of satged mods in your head. It's a disease. A horrible one, because it's so damn expensive. Then you have to take a step back before you sink more money into your car and make decisions. Then the affliction gets the best of you. I know I'll get a car that has a turbo on it from the factory, and isn't FWD. Because you know it will be much easier to make more power. But, you say to yourself, I won't do anything to it right away because it's under warranty, or you dan't have the money, but whatever you say doesn't matter. After the first drive that voice in the back of your head is telling you that you need more boost... then your back online doing research on what to do next. You're a dedicated car nut. There is no cure, because if you can just walk away, you were never a car nut to begin with!

yep when riding in my car when i boost i dont even really feel it push me back anymore... but its great to see the passengers neck snap back and holding on for their life

I remember the first time i rode in a turbo civic...It was like 260whp...it felt soo damn good. I got addicted to this car **** so fast. I purchased a 99gsr swap , and got some 84mm cp pistons and manley rods ...I plan on having my motor sleeved by benson really soon... God I boost

i guess it'll probably wear out when u realize u are making too much power to go anywhere on the street... You can only turn the boost up so much before u realize u are doing burnouts in every gear... i think the only way u never get tired of the power is if u have a rwd turbo or an awd turbo...so at least u dont sit there and spin for hours

I drive lots of other cars so mine feels great every time to me. I just did a 3 hr trip in a 99 subaru forester with the 'big' 2.5L. Man did my car feel fast after that... I agree with getting used to the pull, but you can't deny that the speedo needle is cruising compared to a regular car.

I like looking for narrow enclosed roads where you can really feel how fast you are acclerating, just to get the feeling back. But then again I only have 215whp in a 2500lb car, I imagine 300whp gets a little more getting used to

I really don't spend much time in boost. Daily driving doesn't really allow for it without doing something stupid. And now being winter about the only time I've seen boost is about 1/2 throttle merging onto the interstate.

I am used to my car, but just stay low in the RPM range for a couple days and then have some fun and you will realize how much fun it still is.

i am constantly in different turbocharged cars spending time working on upgrades.. it's definately smiles with each car, to feel the differences in power from each, power from upgrades.. etc!
