thermal R&D turbo exhaust system
I've been doing some research on the Thermal R&D TURBO system and i can't seem to find the specs on the damn exhaust. I wanna know how big the tip is and how does it look on an 94-01 Integra. Anyone have this system on their car and got pics or specs on it? thanks a lot

Re: thermal R&D turbo exhaust system (B18B1DOHC)
I have it on my car and it sounds damn nice. A bit raspy if you like that ( I do) here is what it looks like on my 98 dc2r. I know it's a bad shot but it's all I got and I wanted to help out ;\
I'm selling it if you are interested, PM me.

What will happen if i use the thermal R&D piping BUT use another muffler...lets say a Greddy EVO...will it effect performance?

Evo is 2.36" if use the teg muffler. Can we all say "bottleneck" together ? Some DSM and Subaru Evo's are 3", so you will have to scanvenge off them. Stay 3" if you wanna do 3" exhaust...just my 2 cents

Your question is will the Greddy work better than the Thermal....Well the performance will be different and so will the sound. Each barrel is unique. Completely agree. Sound is incredible.

Thermal is good quality, but ive never liked the look of them. It's too plain and looks like something youd get at pepboys. Poeple will argue its conservative, but then why is it so damn shiny . If your going for a sleeper effect then buy it and paint to **** black.
I my custom 3" n1 though, looks great, sounds great and it was cheaper than thermal.

Around where I live all I see are N1 style mufflers. Local muffler shop sells the "fart cans".

It is rumored that thermal mufflers are actually made by magnflow. They look similar, but I cannot validate this.
I agree on the fartcans and melon launchers. That **** is plain disgusting. One time, someone heard this integra take off with a mondo can on the back and said it reminded his of a cow mooing in pian when it was giving birth to a calf....

Which part of the thermal is shiny? The one I had was black powder coat with only the tip shiny. Thermal is not rice boy stuff, it is high quality performance product.

Look at the pic illuzionb18c1 posted of the SSBP gsr. See the back of the canister, its shiny, especially at night. I know because when me and direp972 use to go cruising all I could see was the glare from the exhaust. Yours must have been painted. Never said it was ricey, i said it's high quality just too plain IMO. It is a nice system, its also lightweight i beleive compared to other systems, but its just for me .

Big enough.
Yes Mr. Walker, you can still hear your turbo spool up and Blow-off valve.
Edit: Nice way to get my 1000 post.
