Hey honda tech!
I need help on knowing what would i have to cut to fit a BWR top mount t4 turbo manifold on my crx LSV motor.
Im going with a 6262 precision turbo so im not sure if il have to cut anything to also make the turbo fit.

Agreed.

What power is being desired? What's the purpose of the car?

Way big turbo for the power you want, I got a precision 5858 and wish gone smaller. Listen to to the guys advise and get something different, I'm even now trying to rid of my 5858 and I only done 90 miles on it and probably go BW next.

500 whp is way overkill for a "street" ef.

300-350 is all you really need for the street in that chassis. Anything else will result in a lot of wheel spin.

since nobody else has chimed in on this.....

Precision turbos can make power just like any other turbo can (even ebay turbos) the problem is reliability which they seem to have alot of issues with.

turbonetics is an okay turbo but not known for being really great hence they are usually much cheaper then other manufactures. Garrett and BorgWarner are the only two that make it to the top of my list and perhaps holset....and well precision would be dead last I would take anything over precision other then an ebay turbo.

AS stated your power goal is way to high for a street build, trust me I have 400 HP in a heavier car and I have tons of traction issues, 500 HP wont be any fun an EF unless you really LOVE wheelspin and could care less when cars with less hp leave you in the dust. Also top mount is a horrible selection for a street car..

go with a smaller manifold..like a mini ram, smaller turbo preferably garret (stay far far away from precision) and lower your HP goal IMO

If you know what you are doing you can get 500whp to hook in a ef.

So, you want a topmount to "show off" when you pop the hood at the meets? or do you want something that's going to function properly for the use you're trying to make out of that CRX? You want over 700whp for drag racing only get a top mount, otherwise, you're actually going against your goals for responsiveness, utility, and good traction going with that exhaust manifold.

Well all manifolds work the same
Is just the brand that you have to worry about
Top mount is easier to get to turbo/exhaust mount since il planning on doing hood exit.
I can care less about showing off
I dnt really go to car meets.
Now and days is like going to chuck e cheese
Bunch of kids runing around argueing and fighting about whos faster lmao

Look at the dyno graph in this thread and tell me "all manifolds work the same".

For a street car my my vote is mini ram all day...

How wrong you are, sir. The "issues" aren't whether or not the car blows up,or if you can't tune properly. The "issues" are a matter of the behaviour of the turbocharger.
You can have the fastest spooling, triple ball-bearing, ludicrous-enhanced, turbocharger , and still have it not perform any of that with a top mount manifold.

Hood exits , as fun as they are, stain the glass, and do nothing but invite others to drop wonderful bits of sand, rocks, debris or anything just for ***** and giggles.
But I won't debate you. If you're interested in our help, that's great. But please don't be offended at the fact that a lot of our suggestions, aren't going to be what you want to hear. It's because we've already gone that path, and knew better the next time around.

So, if you want the suggestions, that's awesome. If you want to fight us to have it your way only, and have others constantly agree with you, well, you're kinda on the wrong forum. We assist for results, not to fight or cause misfortune to others.
If you have a better plan, get back to us when you're ready. We'll gladly be here to help.

As for your direct question as for what you need to cut for have this, well, interesting setup work for you.. I'm sure someone will eventually chime in, however, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a step-by-step answer.

top mounts contribute to lag and by the time the turbo finally spools up its just gonna hit all at once giving you wheel spin almost immediately. not much fun on the street mostly used fro drag race as mentioned earlier

this is why we are recommending smaller turbo + smaller manifold its just a better experience all around

I'm using the street kit from GAW, running a cast log manifold and a forged/cammed LS in my ef.

With right at 380/300 and 15X8 drag radials, I still have traction issues. Any more power and the car would not be suitable for the street.
