I'm gonna take pictures later but i put on this 60mm wastegate and it is holding up verry well the reason i got is because i was having boost creep issues with a 44mm i'm running a t3t67HO .82 my friend is using the same wastegate no problems either. I will take some pictures later on tonight. i'm taking the chance to experiment for you guys lol i got boost cut set at 13psi on my hondata anyways so i'm not worried.

I had one on my project making moderate hp levels, around 400hp and it's done nothing for me, it won't hold any particular boost level, it just keeps raising. I've tried all the springs and combos. Might have just been a bad one, but I'm going with a Tial now.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Justin Olson &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Here are some more pictures of the diaphragm and spring assembly. Its interesting that this wastegate comes with 4 springs of different rates. You can install 1 or all 4 depending on the boost level you want to set it up for. Also, there is a pretty trick adjustment on the top of the diaphragm to adjust preload on the springs. This is nice for dialing in the boost level.

I'm not using this for a 4 cylinder project. Its going on a single turbo modular v8 I'm doing. I agree this is a critical part of the turbo system. I wouldn't have bought this wastegate normally, but I had heard very knowledgeable people using these gates with good success.

Regards,
Justin</TD></TR></TABLE>

how do the springs work? What combinations is what psi? does it at least come with a guid as far as the different springs and the preload thingy?

if its not holding boost then you have other issues, this thing hold boost rock solid on my car, and with the one softest spring in it, i can make it hold 4 psi till red line, and im using a t4/t67. so all these people saying that a 60mm gate isn't holding boost must have the gate attached to a 67 foot piece of pipe that exits the manifold at a 180 degrees from flow.bottom line with a good manifold design even a smaller gate will work, but for those people with large turbos and large backside who need to limit boost in the lower gears or people running big motors, this gate is working real well.

What size inlet and outlet is on that thing? Looks like the outlet is way smaller there for making it not a true 60mm? The Tial has the same outlet as inlet.

For this reason I dont see why people are so worried about making this leap. I was going to buy a SSAC 38mm but I happened to come across a real one, so it didnt matter. However I am using a SSAC 50mm BOV. Hasnt given me one hiccup.
