Re: Show us your gauges... (00SilverLS)
i really like the gauges in the center console...but is there anyways to have my gauge pod in there, and when i need to take the whole pod out and set it on the passanger seat (or anywhere i can see them) and the wires reach? or will there not be enough slack from the wires? thanks

well here's my gauge. not really hidden but what's the purpose of having a gauge if you can't see it? don't even start with a peak and hold gauge or whatever.

no you dumb ****, so that no one else can see them, BUT me. maybe if you got your head out of your *** your common sense would kick in and tell you that if i didnt want to personally see the gauges, then what would be the point of having them.

Re: (aaaallll04)
The guys got a point, why have gauges if you can't see them while you are driving? Sure, you can look back and see what the peak was but what good is that if the motor is already damaged because something malfunctioned and you didn't know it because the gauges that you installed to warn yourself were hidden.
Yes, they may be hidden from other people but they are also hidden from you. Now if they had some kinda of audible warning then that would work, at least then you would know if there was a problem.
Am I missing something here? I don't mean to bash anyone; you guys are just so quick to jump on people that might have a good point.

Forgot to mention that my peak/hold/warning gauges are also hooked up to a RFB (Really F**king Bright) LED and loud *** buzzer.

Re: (TurboR1391)
the one in my air bag panel was propped up by some metal strips, I eventually used a headlight motor to turn on with the ignition.

Cool, that sounds like a nice setup.
How do you know if the oil pressure is getting low though? If the stock light in the dash comes on it's too late, that's the whole reason why people get after-market (more actuate) ones in the first place right?

it's funny you comment on not being able to see some guages. Your gauge is certainly visible but The needle needs to be a contrasting color to actually get a quick/usable reading. If i glanced at that I would notice the logo and the bezel first. If that is the only lighting configuration Blitz offers they should be embarrassed

Re: Show us your gauges... (Bailhatch)
ok let me make this clear, for all the people who are saying why do i not wont to see my gauges...thats not the point. I want to be able to see my gauges all the time. Just not neccessarily wide open for other vehicles/ passengers to see.
oh, and im not mad, i just dont like when dumb people speak

my point is if the gauge is hidden, you're not going to be able to see it. no ****, sherlock. maybe my digital camera and the dark lighting didn't do my 52mm gauge justice but i can see the reading just fine. if you're too distracted by the logo, bezel, and pretty lights, etc-then that's your problem. this gauge is part of the BL series that have been discontinued. now they've been replaced with BLM series which now includes an egt gauge i believe. why don't you pick up an import car magazine and see what other gauges that blitz has to offer in various lighting configurations? you're one of those that needs a 60mm gauge cause you can't see right?

Uh huh. either way I think that gauge is too much show. indiglo bullshit IMO. glad you like it and you won't find me picking up any of the gay import mags to look at pictures of blue light up BS. Function over fashion, especially on something that helps protect my engine.

hey i know its not what this guy is looking for, but along the same topic. A while back there was a link to a page where a guy installed a bunch of l.e.d. s like around his speedo that went up with boost as his boost guage. some ingenious ****. just wondering if anyone could find me that link.

I simply hogged out that whole area to the left of my steering wheel where the dimmer and mirrior switch would be (on an eg)--works out good, visable to me but just under the window line so its a little hard for others to see
BTW- those Blitz guages are bad ***
