Default s366xl 700hp lag?

Looking at buying a s366xl buy don't want to exceed 750whp. Will this kit spool with that low of air flow?

Ge sleves
gsr cam
81.5 bore
74mm throttle body
Victor x
3 inch charge pipe.

which is also not true on power level. I've had those exceed 800whp on smaller than 1.8 litres. Don't ask about lag on these power levels with such a small engine.. The answer is a resounding yes.

Without more detail what you're trying to do here.. we're all a bit lost.

what else do you need to know? to answer my question you don't need to know what pistons, rods, ems, fuel system any of the sort.
ems, fuel system, ect??? its more then enough
equal length divided top mount mani, ummmm no boost leaks. ha is that informative enough?

Lets try to keep this on topic ... i dont want to have to lock it

That turbo will make more than enough power, but with something that size on an engine less than 2.0L, lag is simply a fact of life. You're going to have lots of it...

20 bucks i can beat him on my huffy off the line lol.

im going to ***-u-me a t4 turbine side, which means even more lag (relative to a t3 turbine side) so don't expect much fun below 6-7k

Has anyone had experience with a similar engine and same turbo?
The xl indicates its a divided t4 turbine.

Yes it means no fun below 6k rpm. These guys aren't just giving you a hard time. What type of fuel does matter. Compression, cams, intake manifold, and port work are important when asking a spool/power curve question.

"XL" does not indicate a T4 turbine. Not sure where you got that from. That means that its using a slightly larger compressor cover with modified inlet than the standard unit. That makes it capable of about 50hp more on peak power with the right boost pressures over 30psi.

That's correct. Why would anyone offer an extruded compressor housing, yet still keep it in T3 format? Its never been offered that way.

I don't know the spool characteristics of a BW S366XL, but have you considered a T3/T67HO?

Im a little late to this party... The S366XL is a modified version that actually uses a different turbine side. Its essentially an S400SX modified with the BW 66mm compressor. The turbine wheel and housing, as well as the compressor cover are all standard on the S400SX turbos. Its simply a turbo built for class racing.

Compressor side change, not turbine. I use to make those.. but it is a modified S400 frame

Standard S366 T4 package

XL modified S366 housing (though its using the billet version in this photo)

Yes it matter. The compression, head work, stroke and fuel being used are all key factors on how a motor will perform. You did not even mention what block you are using. If you have a B16A, B16B, B18A/B, B18C1, B18C5, B18C or B20 will make a difference. You did not even mention what motor you are using and you question why people are asking for more info.

Ive actually never seen anyone use the 79mm turbine in the XL turbo, nor have I seen the .66 S400 cover used with the cast 66mm wheel.

The 83mm turbine is a better choice for more power, but the .66 cover is overkill when the .63 cover will work just fine.

The 80mm turbine is standard on s366 in the .83. No .63a/r turbine exists

I meant that Ive never seen anyone use the standard S300 turbine wheel when building an XL unit, and IMO its smarter to use the S400 83mm wheel.

Cover was referring to the compressor cover, and the picture you attached is the .66 a/r race cover from the S400, which is overkill for the cast 66mm wheel.
