Radiator Fans for Turbo Integras with A/C
I have searched this topic all day and seen tons of pictures and lots of ideas. I am installing a Revhard kit on my Integra and I want some ideas for what to do with the fans.
I am using the stock Integra radiator as its nice and thin and I plan on keeping the A/C. It looks like I can use the stock A/C condensor fan as it just fits and has about .5" clearance from the turbo (is that enough). The A/C condensor makes a pusher fan on the front difficult so Im leaning towards a thin fan in place of the radiator fan.
1.) What CFM does the stock Integra fan pull? I dont want to downgrade.
2.) What size fan should I get (12", 14")? I want as big as I can get without having to cut it?

I bought a thin 10.5" diameter fan off ebay for $35 and mounted it on the front of the radiator. Used the stock wires and hardwired it. Works fantastic! Comes on right when the stock fan used to and immediatly starts dropping the temp gauge!

picture came out to small
still keepin the a/c i know i will get flamed on
Im not sure the size of these ,but my friend gave them to me for free. My car never overheats with them. They are pullers/pushers

haha thats a picture of something?
I measured tonight and it looks like I need something that is no wider than 12" and no deeper than 2.75" and Id like something that blows crazy CFM. And I might as well replace the condensor fan too.

I figured I could put two pusher 12" fans on the front. They dont fit.
I cant fit the two 12" fans behind the radiator in the normal position, well I can but the AC fan is too close to the turbine. I dont really want to do 1 pusher fan and 1 puller fan.
What should I do?
Sell the 12" fans and get 10" fans?
Can I just use one fan and still use AC? How does the AC work with the fan?

Well you can still probably fit a fan on the passenger side of the radiator on the engine side, but it'll be tight. If you can't get a 12" to fit just use a 10". Also, I stuck a pusher fan on the condenser on the driver's side as well. It probably doesn't help a whole lot but it makes a little difference.

I run one 10" pusher fan on my setup. Never had any over heating problems. I would have went with the 12 or 14". But I would have been a tight fit and I really didnt want to hack the fan up. I wired mine in a switch which I turn on at about 85 degrees Celcius. Dont really feel like figuring out the conversion. But It lowers the temp and works great. If I felt the need I would probably run a second fan but I also dont have A/C. But it could be done with 2 10" fans.

This is a good question. I never really saw the sense of having the A/C fan. Does it just help make your A/C cooler when you are sitting in traffic?

My C&R came with one large fan. No you do not need a fan for a/c only super cold and in traffic. With one fan you will be fine.

I bought two 12" fans under the assumption the AC would not trip on unless the fan was on too. Perhaps i can do just one pusher fan on the front. One of my new slim fans does push more CFM than both stock fans did combined.

I think that looks really good man. I'd go with that and see how it works. I wouldn't worry about the A/C. I'm sure it will work good and it's only real hot a few months out of the year up here. Will the IC fit in front of there OK?

I think you should just get rid of the 12 inch fans and purchase 10 inch ones. You probably wouldnt want to run two different sized ones(ie 12 and 10), or even risk running 1 pusher fan. If you get two 10s then everything will be cool, and if you want Ill take one of your fans from ya, A/C is for girls..haha
BTW. you dont drive around without a bumper support do you?

Of course not. The car is not being driven during the winter.
I think I moved that AC line and the oil cooler out of the way enough to squeeze the two 12" fans in there. Now the only question is will there be enough room left for me to mount it?
Will the radiator even get cooled buy the fans blowing through the condensor? Should I wire up both fans to run together?
I like AC. I dont want anyone saying "yeah yeah so you got 400hp, well at least I have AC". Wont sacrifice anything.
