Project 450whp Daily Driver Completed :)

Re: Project 450whp Daily Driver Completed :) (B20luda)
nice setup for daily driving. powerband is always good when spinning to 9k lol especially with the 30r. looks to be a good efficient setup.
a little more information on the specifics of the turbo would be nice though. is it using a larger compressor wheel or turbine wheel?

Re: (OMG B16)
Here are some pics of the car when we just finished it. The car is absolutely amazing to drive. Spins 3rd gear instantly as soon as it his VTEC, fights hard for traction in 4th. The only complaint that I have is that the fun still wants to continue after 8900rpm but you have to shift.
BTW: The car made that power on a ".9 bar" wastegate spring but we saw a solid 15psi all the way across so we believe it to be a 1 bar spring. No boost controller was used. Probably going to swap out to a 10psi spring and use the boost control feature to have 15psi in 3rd - 5th gears and 10psi in 1st and 2nd.
PS: I want to thank Ryan for trusting me on the first real test drive. 140mph comes quick in this car.

Re: (salman)
she's definately a fun car, thanks for the kind words guys. I my turbo's got a bigger turbine wheel, 87trim i believe. I really wanted to keep the IC a natural finish, but I also didn't want the added attention LOL. We actually used "aluminum black", an acid/dye used by gun smiths to touch up fire arms

im not trying to hate, its a really nice set up, congrats on the build, but i have almost all the same stuff and im making 333whp at 10psi creeping to 12 on 91, i cant imagine a ported head +2octane in gas and 3 more lbs of boost will give me 120whp more... i dunno, either way congrats, you'll no the truth when you hit the strip, and if you really are making those numbers then to you.
edit: never mind i see dyno says flywheel hp, so thats like 380ish at the wheels, very believeable, good job.

Dynapacks read in WHP, though they do often read highter than other dynos...its still whp.

That was on a H22 though right?
B18Flip, nice numbers. I first thought they were a little high but it seems pretty consistant for jeff evans dyno and the larger wheel.

Yeah but not all. RLZ's dyno is a Dynapac and it read's alot lower then most dyno's.
I think Brad's only get's 120 whp on b16's..
And when I made 280 on it he said that that other guys making 280 on it make a steady 300 plus on most dynojet's.(prostock cars)

Good stuff
Is this actually going to be daily driven? I figure if you have been building for a while, you probably still have another car

Took us about a month to build the car, not too long for all the work we did. Waiting on parts is what took the longest.

Re: Project 450whp Daily Driver Completed :) (xenocron)
lol i never thought it would get done either . Started with fully stripping the car, prepping for paint, full champwhite paint job (courtesy of autobahn tuning solutions), full suspension reworking including all new bolts, oem bushings, control arms, and alignment....then the turbo and swap.

I still have a few things to work on before she's a real daily driver...swap out the twinplate for a stage 4 CC, new axles, fix all the rattles from the exhaust and cabin plus other little stuff. Till then my dad is letting me use his Fit

Re: Project 450whp Daily Driver Completed :) (GTibunny16v)
Ryan, Glad to hear everything is well with the car. The power that it made is really much more than i have seen out of most 30r set-ups. It typically takes around 18psi on a equal length manifold/gt30r set-up to get 450whp. I usually see 400-420whp around 15-16psi on your "average" 30r set-up that i tune.

car looks good man, big props on the build
I'm almost done with my 400hp dc2 street setup, I forged my internals and top mounted a garrett 60-1 .70a/r.. I'm just not so sure if I will even be able to hit 400 on 93 octane with the new setup.
Good luck to you, Im going with a cc [stg 5] clutch as well, I've heard nothing but good things about them
Now for the vids
