i didnt say not to call, i said best thing to do is to email us so that way we can get all quotes down on paper. Many of our kits are custom put together, we offer many diffrent options, so to quote over the phone sometimes isnt effective when a customer wants to upgrade fuel pumps, turbos, wastegates, intercoolers, specific items.
you asked if we used the quick 4 manifold on the ls's and yes we have, i told you it would work well on the LS motors because the non vtec motor doesnt flow as high as vtec counter parts. We recommend short tubular manifolds for smaller/ lesser flowing motors to maximize the powerband and so we dont go with too big of a manifold that it actually hurts performance. Such as member/moderator Schister66
as seen here +50 WHP gain midrange vs his old topmount manifold
you asked about buying an old manifold off a buddy and i told you my response. I'm not going to give you a BS response " OH yes its gonna get you 100 hp over so and so manifold" if anyone ever gives you a " SOLID" response such as that, they're yanking your chain because many diffrent factors play into which manifold flows well and works well with what motor.
any customer thats spoken to me and asked me " do you think your quick 4 will make so and so Hp over another competitors manifold" i've never tested it so i wont be giving a BS response. and in all honesty, 99% of the other manifold fabricators/ companies dont test every one of their manifolds against the competitors either.
im sure everyones gotten from me " its best to email me rather than call me" because i can be more detailed over Pm and email than i can over the phone. Especially when i have customers roaming around the shop or we're in the shop fabricating and building things.
i dedicate my OWN time while im at home or 1st thing when i wake up to answer emails and PM's and thus, im not in the mix of things with machines running, customers in the shop, people asking me questions.
one man team, i do this myself with part time employees. You may think, " oh gosh such a small company", well my company's been around since 2002 and all the other " bigger" companies have since dwindled and ran off with peoples money, CCFAB, hulkhb, CRFab, KBR fab, just to name a *FEW*.
Its not that i dont want your business, i believe i did answer some of your questions, from what it sounded like, your questions were answered, thus i said " if you have any further questions, feel free to email us to get a response"
i did not tell you to F-off, go somewhere else, i dont need your business or tell you that you werent buying something from me so i didnt want to deal with you.
if i gave that impression, im sorry because i had 5 guys hovering around my shop and in the work area where they're not supposed to be.

yes sir: pmd you some suggestions, and as the other member said, you may want to push the fmic piping into the coupler more, looks like you may have the clamp on top of the bead roll, you may need to push in a bit to let the front drop into the engine bay some more.

its not that i dont like picking up or answering the phone
but its either. chit chat on the phone or get the existing orders i have out the door.
one thing people cant say is that i LAG or i dont work hard.
customers that see me at the shop, may sometimes think im ignoring them or not very hospitable. Fact is, i rather get out products and go home to carry on a normal life and chit chat and what not there on my own time sitting on my couch or at my desk.
when im at work, its all about work i don't BS and twiddle my horn and let orders pile. I don't sit there and talk about the whether or the greatest movie I've recently seen. Go ahead, check all my posts, look at the date, look at the time that I've posted. Look at when people post a question and i answer back, thats right within less than 4 hours most of the time, unless I'm sleeping or out living my own life.
there are people who've waited months for their products ( not from MY company ) while theres posts of the shop owners out at the track having fun or playing on their boat or doing whatever it is they do on company time.
While it may not be the best option for me to " leave it to Pm's and emails" it is my best choice at the current moment with all that i have on my plate. and trust me, i have plenty on my plate to deal with as it is.
also if you've noticed, my prices have stayed the same throughout the years, even though im using higher quality flanges, the rate of gas prices has increased 20% on me, electricity increase, rent increase, material metal cost increase.
while peakboost and full-race can afford a tech line thats great for their company. They're great companies to buy from. Unfortunately for you, you'd be paying roughly 2- 800$ more for each of their manifolds. Hey, if i charged 775$ for a ram horn, i would mind giving you 20 minutes of my time for a 175$ per manifold pay increase.
while this may seem like i'm flaming you, im not. Im " passionately" standing my grounds, defending myself and my company and show you why it is i do the things the way i do it.
you can ask any of my customers, whether or not i've taken care of them, whether its free hardware, t shirt, stickers, getting their stuff done AHEAD of time, getting problems solved in a timely manner, upgraded their products free of charge, upgraded them to stainless without additional costs, given them deals on other items when i can.

I thought that was the issue at first too when i first saw it but the way it looks to be resting in that area is decieving, if we apply force to the piping it'll slide down with no resistance from the harness clamps beside it, the issue i think i'm running into is that the bottom piece just doesn't have anymore room to slide down into the coupler period. I might try what you suggested in a PM though since that seems like it'll solve the problem I'm coming across which is shortening the bottom end a bit to clear. though i'm switchin to a 3in coldside but at least this way the piping won't cause the same issue for the next owner. otherwise like i said, not bad at all for the price! it may not look all pretty and shiney but it looks to get the job done and get it done well! which is really all i care about.

great response^^^^and that shows a lot of character. Not trying to be mean but I've been around since his company started, and not once have I heard one bad thing. The only reason i haven't bought from him yet , is because I lived in Dallas/fw area and fortunate to have the best of everything at a drive away. Tuners Engine builders (ex, T1 and Endyn). Now i live a few hundred miles away and I trust him to make my things in Cali and It will work well when it gets to texas. Then just drive a few hundred for a tune.
Just my 2cents even though no one asked for it. I guess my time on here allows me that for phil

and to his customer service. Everytime I go to the shop, he is there working not messing around.
plus always hooking it up.

I can vouch for that. Phil has taken care of me on many occasions and has hooked it up with some t shirts and stickers... to Mr. SP

Bump for phil. I just got my whole d16 ramhorn setup on. It has a 3inch dp too. Only problem that im having, which isnt all that bad is that my o2 sensor sits a little too close to my axle. I guess i will get a new bung welded in. Everything fits like a charm!!

the only problem i have had with the log manifold package was that one of the bolt holes on my down pipe was impossible to get a bolt through, there wasn't enough space. so im going to either cut the bolt down way short and get barely any purchase, or use a stud and nut. im not sure yet. best deal for the price tho
