no just been too lazy to update, I dropped the motor in it to start fabbing the charge pipes and turbo kit but Im gonna pull it back out to put a ls tranny in instead of the gsr tranny. I know Im gonna run out of gear way to fast with the gsr.

update, traded the ssr's for te37's, mainly cause theres alot more tire choices for 15's. new fenders on, motors in, charge pipes are almost done. down pipe is fabbed up. gonna pull the motor back out and swap on a ls tranny instead of the gsr cause I know Im gonna run out of gear. also got a bunch of stuff to redo the engine harness and make it look alot cleaner. can't wait to get it in primer and paint.

Have you ever tried out a hybrid trans? Like a LS gearset with 4.4 final or gsr gearset with 4.26 final? I recently swapped out my 4.4 for a 4.26 and I love it!

Man you took out a good GSR trans for an ls. Bad idea Trevor. 5th gear is GSR trans still has better acceleration than the ls gear set. Springs and retainers would also allow for more rpm and aren't that costly

I personally have had several different combo transmissions on an LS before. Straight LS = ok for driving around only, B16 gearset w/ LS final drive = feels a lot like a stock gsr, and LS gearset w/B16 final drive = best for the LS' powerband. Out of all those that I tried the last was the most impressive for my non-vtec setup. Also I didn't do this just because it was out of necessity as for some reason they kept having issues with diffs. Every time some gave up I tried something new out of the parts pile!
For the LSV I have now it likes having the close gearing with a longer final drive.

SHH!! (I know lol) what kind of ghetto build thread would this be without knock off wheels. they are ssk 031's. I got $300 on top for the ssr's which had like maybe 20% tread and 16" tire choices are pretty limited. I like how these wheels look alot better on my car anyways.
progress has been slow due to mainly working on customer cars not my own lol.
got some progress made on the car not much but its getting somewhere slowly but surely I guess. my buddy helping me with paint and body work is dragging his feet so thats on his time really.
pulled the doors off to prime them and replace the really worn out hinges.
used some body filler on the charge pipes to smoothen them out a little bit. they aren't perfect but they look pretty good. Ill probably end up wrapping them with dei titanium header wrap any ways.
down pipes almost done except for the brace for the part after the flex pipe.
fabbed up this turbo kit for a customer in texas just finished it and shipped it out yesterday.
got my name on a sprint car now too.

just been working on body work alot lately. got my slicks swapped over to my other wheels and built a baffle for my oil pan as well. I really need to make some better progress on this thing while the weathers still nice.

where are you located? also it would depend on what kinda car. message me if your interested.
finally got some work done on the hatch. jams are primered, built a aluminum battery box and got battery cables ran. need to put the doors on and reprime the shell one more time and block it down again before I can spray it. also picked up a carbon fiber vis hood for it which is pretty much brand new.
decided to weld in the grooves on the b20 valve cover to shave it.
still needs some more work but Im happy so far.
new hood.
