White smokey steamy vapor? Like the kind you get when you have coolant in your combustion chambers? Or coolant in the oil that is vaporizing? Or is it smoke from burnt oil?
What's the oil look like?

Re: LSV Turbo Major smoke from valve cover
Its white smoke, i didnt see a blue tint to it though?
I let my car idle for 15 min to see if it would "clear up" but no. It had been smoking but not that bad from what I understand.
.70 trim jdm sport turbo. Restrictor on the feed line.
Water and oil levels appear fine.

How do you use the block tester? I had asked for a comp tester, and they tried giving me a block tester and some liquid??

Re: LSV Turbo Major smoke from valve cover
It's excessive crankcase pressure and blow by most likely due to cracked ringlands. Blythe first post saying its tuned on a lot high boost pressure on stock ls bottom end and probably to much timing you cracked those babies real quick. Time for a tear down and rebuild and tuned properly

Re: LSV Turbo Major smoke from valve cover
The block has low miles and we run the car at 5 psi, I believe that is how its been run for a while now.
Im going to run out and take a few pics, because likely, the turbo is coming off. :\

Re: LSV Turbo Major smoke from valve cover
I cant see whats going on in the pcv system, Im going to jack it up in a bit, cause I cant see it from above. It is not connected to the intake manifold
It might be plugged? The bottom end was just replaced so maybe they forgot to put the pvc somewhere.
Wouldnt ringlands cause me to smoke bad from the tailpipe too?
Would this work?

I had the same problem with my stock LS setup. It was ringlands. Compression test should be able to show you. You want about +/- 10% difference in the cylinders. When I tore mine down (since one number was lower), it turned out like three of the pistons had broken ringlands.

Re: LSV Turbo Major smoke from valve cover
Leak down test will point out the problem if it's engine internal failure. Turbo will not cause crankcase smoke only exhaust smoke. Crankcase smoke is from ringlands cracked, excessive blow by, or poor ventilation causing it to damage something else
