Kraftwerks D-Series Race Supercharger Kit
The D-Series Race Kit is based off of the impressive Rotrex C30-94 supercharger. The D-Series Race Kit produces impressive results throughout the entire power band due to its patented traction drive technology. And, unlike any other forced induction system, this kit provides a linear power curve, torque on demand, and cooler operating temperatures
The D-Series Race Kit provides instant throttle response and a progressive power curve that increases all the way to redline without the typical 'spiking' or 'surging' associated with turbochargers. This unique, more useable power curve results in reduced cylinder pressures, less strain on engine components, and increased reliability. Rotrex superchargers also operate much cooler when compared to turbochargers and other supercharger systems, which reduces the engine’s intake air temperature as well as its risk of detonation.
Rotrex superchargers are renowned for their compact size, high adiabatic efficiency, low vibration, and quiet operation. Their unique traction drive technology is what makes all of this possible, which, unlike other superchargers, transmits power through frictional forces between its rolling elements. Each Rotrex unit features its own self-contained oiling system that remains independent of the engine. Its dual-action oil pump supplies traction fluid to the supercharger while the supplied cooler ensures proper fluid temperatures at all times.
The D-Series Race kit fits D16A, D16Z, D16Y, and the JDM D15B. This kit does NOT include any type of piping, intercooler, or fuel management.
Kit Includes:
• Rotrex C30-94 Supercharger w/ 120mm Pulley
• Rotrex Self-Contained Oiling System
• Oil Cooler
• High-Quality CNC-machined Brackets, Idler Pulley, and Tensioner
• High-Quality Metric Fasteners and Hardware
• Silicone Air Inlet Elbow
• Double Sided Drive Belt - Works off Stock and Aftermarket Pulleys
- Kit REQUIRES Custom Fabrication for Intercooler + Piping and Engine Tuning
- Kit REQUIRES removal of A/C Compressor and Power Steering
- Kit REQUIRES header that has narrow pairing
- Kit is NOT CARB Approved, and is never to be used on Pollution Controlled Vehicles or Public Highways
*Total Horsepower will be determined by the engine type and build. The total horsepower depends on engine modifications, tuning, weather, altitude, etc. (Typically 250+ hp)
*Recommended Modifications:
- Upgraded Clutch
- Grams Fuel Injectors
- Grams Fuel Pump
Part Number: 150-05-0030D

Re: Kraftwerks D-Series Race Supercharger Kit
Any completed installs? Dyno sheets to back up claims?
What's up with that engine bay shot? Does not look very professional and does not make me want to buy this kit. I really think you would benefit from removing that picture and leaving just the kit until there is a more complete install available. Not one with tools hanging around, install incomplete, header hanging off the head, dip stick hanging out by the fender...

Says it is on back order, and it $2.8K, for that much I built two complete s/c systems with ic piping and all.

The kit is $2795.00 and SpeedFactory is currently doing a group-buy on the B and D Kraftwerks kits... They are offering about $500 off.

This is a close to $3,000 unit; it deserves a little better representation, backed up with some factual data.

Re: Kraftwerks D-Series Race Supercharger Kit
You're promoting a new product, I figured maybe you would want to start it off properly. I don't care about the stock manifold, but it's not bolted up! It just looks sloppy and poorly thought out. Hoepfully this is not a representation of the kit.

So it took 10+ years for someone to figure out the belt routing due to the Rotrex unit spins in the wrong direction.

Re: Kraftwerks D-Series Race Supercharger Kit
Any idea on boost pressure?
I was doing some VERY rough calc's with poor info I found on pulley diameters, as well as looking at Rotrex PDF's. I'd guestimate at 7500 engine rpm the C30-94 will spin ~5300rpm, or internally at ~50,600 rpm. I'd presume it will work out to over 15psi.
I'm also curious why the C30-84 wasn't used. That seems to have a better sweet spot & surge line for the D16. I can only presume because it's used on all the other kits?

Contact Kraftwerks at support@kraftwerksusa.com
You could still build the wagon with plans to use the supercharger kit.
It surely did not take Kraftwerks 10 years to figure it out...

I like a lot of their stuff. Not everything, but a lot. Only the young cats born in 1992 and up feel that having their favorite companies introduce products is oh so bad..... That **** is funny to me , honestly.

Re: Kraftwerks D-Series Race Supercharger Kit
Its a nice kit which is different. Some people actually like that kind of stuff! I don't exactly see many Jackson Racing Kits rolling around these days.
