Glory Day! Finally tuned and Dynoed my Car!!!
Finally, after spending so much time tuning other people's cars and getting such great results, blowing my motor, building my motor, wondering about strange noises....I finally got my car well tuned and Dynoed today.
I also fine tuned Chad's (LEON's) car and got some amazing results at 10psi putting down 278 corrected WHP on his stock GSR/Drag combo.
Well here is mine....my final run I actually pulled off the gas a little early so I would have hit even higher but the run is great anyway. Look at the nice A:F. Learned a few nice tricks today in tuning our cars that I will have in my bag for anyone else looking for tuning. Thanks again to Jim Ford Dyno in Liverpool NY--a most excellent shop and a most excellent person.
95 GSR with JE 9:1 pistons, Eagle Rods, ACL std size bearings, stock sleeves, stock headgasket, ARP headstuds, ACT clutch. FMAX manifold and downpipe otherwise not an FMAX kit anymore.
log at full boost...should not have come off the gas too early
nice graphs...duty cycle pretty good for 440s. Thats about as lean as I want to go.
Baserun
Final Run
Overlay Plot of the two.

350whp and 250ft/lbs? Did I read that right? My monitors here at work have crappy video cards.

how do you translate the lambda readout to a/f ratio? nice numbers
ill be calling you next fall when i go turbo...hopefully you'll still be offering the tuning

VERY VERY VERY VERY NICE!
13psi, 350whp. that is damn impressive. shows that a well tuned simple set up w/ good choice of bolt ons will make good power.
only one question for ya. what is the fuel pressure at? 350whp w/ 440's at 90% duty cylce. i woulda thought the 440's woulda maxed out long ago.
once again. great job man.

Drives great too. I must have some nice tires cause it holds the road too.
Can't wait to take it out to the track and time it.

see, I'm running a bit leaner that some would....85Lamda about 12.5AF
I have still unburnt fuel coming out my exhaust at throttle.
I wonder if thats because of the testpipe on the car?? Anyone else experience more smoke without a CAT???

damn torin those are some impressive numbers, i just hope i'm somewhere close to that range but i'm sure i'll get very respectable numbers with the tuning u gave me.

Was 24 degrees your total timing advance? And if it is just out off curiosity why so low. were those runs w/ pump or race gas.
The reason i ask is because i run an ls w/ 8.5compression and 34 degrees total advance and 16psi w/ 440cc injectors check my a/f ratio it's rediculous, way to rich just wondering do i need to run so much timing, any suggestions will be appreciated. p.s. i don't run a fmu i use a aeromotive 1:1 regulator set at 45lbs base pressure.

Nice numbers. Very good job!
Btw, what's your max injector duty cycle if the throttle is 100%?

pump gas sunoco 94. That was my timing at boost. I have my dist set at 16deg. and I have my timing at +2deg across the board and retard in boost ramping from .2deg to .6deg at max boost.

max is like 88% and I could probably bring that down by upping my fuel pressure to mid 50s which would still be very acceptable. Since i don't plan on pushing things on my stock sleeves, I will keep things where they are.
Chad pointed something out to me that he noticed on the datalog i gave him...
the lambda curves look different than where they were when i did the tuning. they are pushed up a bit making things look leaner than they were. That must be some wierd bug in the program?? Anyone else with hondata experience that when they saved and reopened datalogs?
