Pictures of my setup on the car. Custom built forward facing setup. GT4067/4" DP/single MV-R for now. Greddy Type 24 IC.

Bumper bolts on completely. Was just sitting there with the top plastic push locks after it got loaded on the trailer. Was trailered down to KC, and due to a mishap with a buddies car, drove it 3 hours back home. Was a blast. I will daily it as much as I can during the summer. Need to change out the IC core, but is not a huge priority as I am going to stay at the current power level until I get the chassis dialed in as best as possible.

Yup, you are totally right.. The only benefits to this setup is straightline and high speed conditions.

Those are the performance aspects, but you know me when it comes to building a custom setup because there are always more reasons This setup allowed me to keep power steering, a 4" downpipe that's nearly straight with no bend, as well as a fully shrouded OEM radiator fan on the puller side + thickest Koyo rad. There are no setups at this current day that could accomodate all those things at once along with a 4" thick FMIC. But for those who don't need power steering or a 4" DP, the disadvantages outweight the advantages.

So the downfalls are turbo oil drain problems, not able to go through touchless car washes or drive in heavy rain/snow, and turbo sucking in a lot of debris on a regular basis. I drove my Integra through almost every winter, and the compressor housing was full of salt and thick build up of corrosion. A custom intercooler is probably needed as well in anything besides an Integra front-end. The body also has to be cut under the headlights to put the turbo there in order to fit a proper FMIC and full core exposure in the frontal area... So cutting the car up is required.

The benefits I found was better cooling (both water temps and engine bay temps), more power on pump gas due to a 4" DP + power steering, slightly less intercooler piping, and ram air advantage at higher speeds.

For the oil drain, I have a reservoir that tee's in between the main drain line and routes to the catchcan to acts as a vent and have temporary storage of oil. So oil will always have to tendency to drain out of the turbo first and into this reservoir, and then makes down to the pan. This buys me time if the car is under long braking or cornering and the oil can still drain; once the car restores back to normal conditions (cruising/decel or accel), then the oil in the reservoir will deplete and drain back into the pan.

The traction is not bad with good performance winter tires (Pirelli Sottozeros)... It still grabs decent in 3rd gear with an ITR transmission (that was last year) as long as it is dry, and I have a different boost curve for it for winter driving (12 PSI hit/climbs to 26 PSI at 9K). This year I have a GSR transmission so may be better...lol The Integra is good on gas and barely uses any tires, and I have a block heater on it so I like driving it through winter months.

Here is the one on my car:

http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/E...-Manifold.html

Still forward facing, still functional and keeps it pretty much in the engine bay.. That and you can still have a centered FMIC

I've got mine down there. I run on street, on downside is filters. I run mesh only which is naughty tbh.

It's all oem mate, bumper needed obvious trim, and front panel to clear for turbo and oil return. None of it looks a bodge though, I like to keep nice and oe where possible.
