which forged piston should i get? aries or CP?

which forged piston should i get? aries or CP?
im deciding between the two right now. I'm going boost on my jdm h22a block with iron sleeve.

some piston designs are made more for boost than others. IMO a forged piston is a forged piston strength wise. All companies are going to tell you that their product is the strongest on the market and all that bs. I personally went with wiseco but its all up to you man. If your that worried about it, do some hardcore research on it.

i had CP's in my h22a.... i have a new set of JE's i like the JE's better the ring pack is down lower overall and the ringlands are thicker.. the valve reliefs were cut really thin (inbetween the top of the first ring land and the bottom of the reliefs) JE's seems to be designed a bit better IMO...

ive run 3 sets of wisecos over the past 2 years, now im running cp's.
to my understanding, cp is a relatively non- hypereutetic (sp?) piston, meaning it runs less silicon in the aluminum. this makes it expand and contract less but stronger. however ive also been lead to believe that upon failure, they like to give in good rather than just crack or melt slightly.....

I think the cp's have low amount of silicone and expand MORE but are a bit stronger then say srp which have a higher silicone and expand less. You should also get alittle more noise at start up than the srp's.

did you have any issues with the wiseco's? why did you switch?
unfortunately have heard bad things about CP. the USED TO BE vavle relief issue that has been fixed and the low amount of piston to cyl wall clearence issues, which isnt the pistons fault but the recommended clearence's fault. but however you wanna cut that is up to you. but some are die hard fans of CP so there has to be some good to them as well.
i havent searched for it, but i havent heard bad about wiseco.

my second set i boost spiked and blew a finger sized hole in my #3 sleeve
my 3rd set was fine. i took the motor apart because the head had bad valve leakdown and i decided on going 84mm
the wisecos handled all the **** i put them through rather well, but i wanted to try a diff piston. i made sure to get new cp's because i too had heard of the valve relief issue in the oldder ones

your not really going to hear horror storys about wiseco because well they are great

call both companies
ask them each how far is the top ring groove from the top of the piston...
the higher it is, the closer it gets to the bottom on the valve releifs
CP pistons are rapidly becoming (famous) for chunking the top ring lands. They place the top ring too high, resulting in thin cross sections between the ring grove and the intake valve relief's.
the intake side valve are the ones prone to detonate, and the less material there is, the easier the piston will heat up and melt
happened to me once, and went with WISECO.... they lowered the 1st ring lower than CP
this was told to me by the old one.... he knows his stuff
ask them each how far is the top ring groove from the top of the piston...
