Finally Finished & Dyno'd My Built CRX [VIDEO]
I let my CRX rott in my garage for a few years during my build. After taking some time off from the build I finally got my **** together. I got a some inspiration from some boost videos and old friends. I thought I'd take a second and share my video with everyone just in case there is someone else out there like me. I couldn't be happier that I finally finished this project and made my goals.
Video is hosted on YouTube, I might be able to post a high quality on request
http://youtube.com/watch?v=yBy3cEw8ml8
Specs:
Built GSR w/ B16 Head
SC61 Turbo
Tial 44mm Wastegate & Tial BOV
Dadfab Homemade Top Mount Manifold w/ 4" Downpipe
Dadfab Homemade Traction Bars
Tilton Twin Disc
Tilton Hydro Release Bearing
Too much petty details to list, if you have a specific question just ask...
Here's some pictures from the day I took it to the dyno. Haters need not apply. I painted my car in school for less than most of you spend on Rotas. The WW Kit covered a bad damage spot and allowed me more room for my intercooler.
Special Thanks goes out to my Dad (dadfab) and SuprDave over at Whip Factory.

Ha, that is awesome. I'm glad to hear someone remembers it.

what boost levels were you running for pump/race gas?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I'm not really sure to be honest. We were using the laptop for a boost gauge and mine isn't currently hooked up. If I had to guess, I would say we were at about 14psi on the pump gas and 22psi for race gas. We would have gone for higher power levels on both but I had met my goals and due to some complications I was already on the dyno for 5 hours $$$$$.

That was done in an older version of Adobe Premiere, I think it's v7 not one of the new CS Releases. The streaming web version looks pretty crappy compared to the 120MB copy I have, wish I could share it.

Man....same thing happened to me with my CRX. I had an SiR fronted ended Y49 car, and let it sit to the point it just got away from me. I ended up selling, and I've regretted since that day.
Nice to see you finished the project man
You got a pm

Yeah some where around that, the last video I ending with "Coming in 2005" HA! Even when I check out my old build threads I'm talking about how it will be done in a month.

Yep, I'm minutes away from Whip Factory. Dave and the guys there guided me in the right direction over the years.

Hey what's up, your car has been on my mind a lot lately. I can see how that **** could happen REALLY easily now. It's a whole different world with this kind of power.

Thanks, I appreciate it. The car isn't typical H-T so it doesn't get a lot of love.

Re: (ScottEK)
Similar setup to what I have, nice job. I hope the cooling of the car on a hot day with that radiator doesn't become a factor. I know with my car it runs about 202 on a 98 degree day due to the manifold being near my radiator. I'll be up that way having dave tune my stuff soon. Did you use hondata? Think you could let me know how much you paid to get your stuff tuned?
