Run your fuel through a small radiator to cool it down before it gets atomized. Anything to help detonation? Seems like a sound idea, as long as the radiator is small. I found a nice one at the auto shot for 20 bucks with dopelittle pressure fittings.

This was on my way to make a nice oil cooler, my buddy told me i should do this. Anyone running one?

Yeah I kinda agree...unless you are on the edge of knock and need to 'push the envelope' just that far...unneccessary...but if you can hook it up for cheap, why not

yeah super cheap. 20 dollars for the radiator and i have the fuel tubing. Just need a FP gague to make sure the cooler doesn't change anything.

I'm running 4degrees timing at 12pounds of boost in order to prevent detonation

I've thought about it, but never got around to it. My *** dyno says that every time I fill the tank with fresh (cool) fuel, the car seems peppier for a while until the fuel heats up.

You are prolly doin more harm then good running 4 degrees of timing at 12PSI. Your EGT are prolly out the roof

Car runs great Anything more and the car doesn't run great. Timing might be off at the dist some, if that doesn't get correctd for.

I was at 8deg tilli put a stock axel back on, which caused some detonation at 7500+. so i pulled back tthe timing and 4.5 is where the car likes to be.

I wouldnt think you put a fuel cooler before the fuel rail...I thought you would be cooling the fuel going back into your tank from the return.

But I could be entirely and completely wrong...

cooler fuel just drops the over intake temp and it is a good thing. Fuel coolers are legitimate and if I had any worries, I'd add one. For $20, do it, and you want to put this before the injectors... why cool the fuel that's going in the tank, the regulator should keep the pressure equal, the pump may just work a little harder to overcome the flow restrictions. Make sure you put the cooler in an area where you'll get fresh cool air, nothing tainted by the intercooler or radiator... or you will do more harm than good....
