air/fuel gauge install
On an obd2 car, which wire on the oxygen sensor does the purple wire off of the air/fuel gauge tap into? I see 4 different wires. 2 white ones, a grey one and a black one. This is off of the primary oxygen sensor on the stock downpipe. I tried tapping it into the first white one and I only got 3 orange lights on, and then I tapped it into the second white one and full rich. So either, the car was not yet warmed up or my connection may not be secure enough. Some help would be great! Thanks.

Re: air/fuel gauge install (ludelvr)
my advice would be to buy a manual (it'll be in there)...the grey wire is probably the sensor. you could also use a voltmeter to figure it out.

Re: air/fuel gauge install (ludelvr)
What kind of car is this? If its a Civic, my 1998 obd-II has a larger gauge white wire running into the ecu. Run a wire from your purple lead over to the passenger side kick panel, and I beleive its one of the plugs closest to you, in the middle of the plug. Slighter bigger all white wire. That's the one for your primary O2 sensor.
Hope that helps.

Re: air/fuel gauge install (Flamenco-NA)
Oh **** sorry guys, I forgot to mention the car. It's a 5th gen lude. I'm not going to run it to the ecu because I already have the wire set up and everything and it's right beside my oxygen sensor. Yah, like I said, there's 4 wires, 2 white, 1 grey and 1 black. Thanks again.
