Re: 96 civic turbo ls-vtec build
Very clean install.. Cant wait for the numbers and more pics.. I am looking at turboing a hatch but I like the motor a lot
A lot of people go with the LS opposed to the B20 for price.. And like stated above there is more mettal so it is better with heat

Re: 96 civic turbo ls-vtec build
new block for now..
we got the old block out and found out the prob..
spun a rod bearing in cyliner # 2 and as we were trying to take the rods and pistons out the block decided to lock up.. so i have a feeling it was going on the old set up and we just never realized it was going and the dyno did it in..
keep posted for more updates

Re: 96 civic turbo ls-vtec build
lol thanks.. im not gonna give up, i call it the build from hell. When i start something i finsh it.. I think it was on the verge of blowing up when we started the build and the dyno finshed it off.. there is no way this car only made 315 and was dropping power at 6k and higher.. it went from like 315 at 5500 and at 6000 it went to 270 on 12 psi..

Re: 96 civic turbo ls-vtec build
i bought the block as we were waiting on the tow truck to come get us and had my pap go pick it up for me.. dont be worried like i said before i think the block was ready to go before the build started and the dyno did it for it.. but we will find out when its done again ill prob have to take it up and get it retuned and if it dose it again im gonna blame it on the tune and never go back there again.
