Re: 907whp SynapseTurbo.com Gtx42r S2000
box Walbro funny little man i was not on a wall-boro anything and i always list that i was in fact on a a1000
trap speed/9 sec slip has nothing at all to do with the amount of power i made but if it makes you feel better i trapped 144@19psi on my setup, and stretched a rod bolt on the next run @23psi so nope no 150mph trap speed for you sorry man.
i said it can be done i didnt say it could be done safely or everyone should run out and try it lol get over yourself dude and stop getting pissed off at people for doing what they do to get the job done.
also im pretty sure i listed it was on a dynojet but just in case you missed it both times here goes
dynojet
now back on topic this is a sick *** s2000 man dont let anyone tell you otherwise at all be proud of what you have and let the haters fall

Re: 907whp SynapseTurbo.com Gtx42r S2000
Our dyno had a pressure transducer problem about a year or so ago and was producing ridiculous numbers. This was absolutely nothing we could control, YOU CAN'T LOWER THE TCF you can only raise it... and if you have any suspicion that anyone is messing with the numbers the TCF is displayed right on the dyno sheet!
Now that we have fixed the problem, which was persistent for about 2-3 months which gradually got worse until DynaPack FINALLY sent us the right part to fix the problem, the dyno reads pretty spot on if you ask me.
For reference my 2000 S2000 with a test pipe and mild exhaust makes ~195whp here.. i really don't think that is too far off what it should be.
A stock GSR makes right around 135whp here... so it is all back to normal.
So don't go stating that every single one reads high.. when they are working properly they are generally very consistent and right where you would expect the cars to be.
But as everyone should know by now.. the readings will start swaying once you get to this sort of power level just because of all the extra variables that you have with a roller type dyno (wheel spin, straps, alignment, etc).
A mod should definitely clean this thread up, and get rid of all the dyno BS that has been brought up. It completely takes away from the purpose of the thread and produces nothing but bickering and non-technical BS posts.

Question for the O/P about your surge tank setup... curious about your line setup.
Are you returning fuel from the regulator to the surge tank or the main tank?
If to the surge tank what are you using for the return line size? Stock feed line, stock return line, or did you run a new line for return? Also if return in to surge tank, do you have another line I am not seeing to return the overflow fuel from surge tank to main tank to keep from building pressure in the surge tank?
If returning to the main and the top line is instead just your overflow from surge to main... I would think it would have issues keeping the surge tank full?

Your assumption is correct, the OP has return from the regulator that feeds the surge tank & yes there is a overflow return from the top of the surge to the fuel tank (you can see it in the pics)

There is -10 feed going from the pumps to the rail, -8 return from the rail to the surge tank. -6 from walboro to the surge tank, and -6 at the top returning from the surge tank to the stock gas tank.

Re: 907whp SynapseTurbo.com Gtx42r S2000
I have all my dyno graphs archived and readily available on my website for this very reason... I have a lot of stock cars or tuned cars with very common setups to justify and let the customer determine how my dyno is reading compared to others.
Like all dynos, some read high, some read low... You will never find two dynos that read the same, just like how you can never find two engines that run completely identical, regardless of how many levels of control.
The dyno only registers what power is sent to the unit... What about shop conditions? I bet a shop with a full dyno cell that refreshes its air every minute would sure deliver higher power numbers than another dyno shop that has no moving air, and you can smell some dude's fart for the next 5 minutes...
That's why I love bringing in bigger power (but stock) cars and sometimes I sponsor these cars for a quick baseline session too. They offer useable baseline figures, and people can compare their results effectively.
Honestly, I love higher reading dyno's... I hate explaining to a friend or customer why their numbers are so low. If there is a way to manipulate the numbers without being so damn obvious, I would be all over it. But like all machines, the dyno measures power, and it is that sole function that cannot be altered.
I am sure you can't make a digital multimeter read more volts than there really is? If you could do so, then what's the point ot buying a precise DMM?

So far we lost one trans, 4th gear broke, and the r200 is doing great 1.51 sixty foot. I preload the drivetrain to help save the rear end on launching.
