Is 4,000 too much for a Turbo Kit?
I'm considering Inline Pro's Turbo Kit, which will run me a little over 4,000. This seems expensive. Does anyone have the kit and could tell me if its worth it or not?
Could you please list the price you payed for your turbo set up, and the results you got.
Thanks a lot,
Chris

Check out full race. I think you get more for your money from them.

if you want quality pieces and dont mind spending the money, go with full-race. im not in anyway saying that the drag is not good, but IMO full-race parts are better quality.

i would go with a full race kit and get hondata,
(not a bandwagoner)
I am ordering a full race mani and T67 and am running speed pro
Also i am not a fan of the AFC hack with FMU i didn't like that setup too much loading up before boost it was too hard to tune. Not saying it did not work just saying i prefre another method

i would just get a cheapturbo kit, basically a full race knock off for a 900 less, only difference is it a straight t3/t04e (any size you want), and it does not have a backdoor intercooler. This is what i got except i went with the t3/67 from full race.

hehe yeah, but what happens when ur full-race knock off manifold has boost creep or cracks due to poor craftsmanship?

you could build your own however im at a strong 5,500 and its not even installed yet. I still need an FPR, earls fittings/lines, and a 3" catback

Re: Is 4,000 too much for a Turbo Kit? (monicle)
Buy a cheap kit and get cheap parts that is the bottom line. I spent $1900 on the kit alone and ended up replacing almost everything! I kept the turbo and manifold. Everything else went out the window! Buy that drag kit for $3199. I am approaching the $4000 mark and I dont even have a Hondata!

If your going to spend $4000 on a kit by all means get the full race, just make sure you put it to good use. Meaning if you only have 4k total to spend then this may not be your answer, but if you can compliment the kit with other nice parts then you'll one nice setup
How much do you have to spend?

5500 is a bit much... someone is giving it to you in the backside.
I got just a tad less than 3k in a completely custom setup... including my custom 60-1, equal length stainless mani (one of), 3 stainless dp, intake, charge piping, spearco huge cooler, tial wastegate, blitz bov, ge adapter/ lines, my fuel management, etc... only thing still needs to be changed is my fuel pump and install the surge tank.

Plenty of other kits out there, if you have the funds then I would go Full Race no question. I am running a MaxRev based setup and am very happy with it, but plan on upgrading to a Full Race EL manifold down the road... DRAG, is well, kinda like the McDonalds of turbo Honda kits Not bad, not great, just a typical kit.

Re: Is 4,000 too much for a Turbo Kit? (twkdCD595)
ughh yeah im piecing my turbo together. Im counting all parts to be used in my installation not just a manifold, turbo, pipes, and IC (sometimes called a kit but should be referred to as a starter kit). Take a look at my parts if you doubt. http://repo.jackmoves.com/view...bum97

I dont doubt, but I was talking about more than a mani, ic, turbo, and some piping too. I got all the parts you show minus the fuel rail, obd conversion (I am obd 1), cam gears (sohc here), and the defi link.
fuel pump too... almost forgot... good parts though buddy you look like you got more than enough for a sweet setup, dont take it negatively. I guess I can see how you spent that much including the defi bling.

Re: Is 4,000 too much for a Turbo Kit? (monicle)
i paid 1300 installed and i have a 38mm tial, custom mani that looks like sfp's (tubular), 450's, afc, charge pipes, custom FMIC, MBC, msd 6 btm unit, greddy turbo timer, and other stuff. BTW the turbo is a T3 50 trim, .48ext. i went 13.8@105 with this set up on street tires, stock clutch, and my first time driving boost at the track

it might not be quite the craftsmanship, it does have a lifetime warranty and is still very beefy, have a look at there website. I think the manifold is around 800 bucks.

since your already paying 800 for a knockoff manifold, why not just pay a little more to get one of the best?

Re: Is 4,000 too much for a Turbo Kit? (Baked)
4,000 is not my max, its just a limit I set. The inline kit i know is good for up to 500 hp, and comes with nice parts.
Could you please direct me to a site with a good full race turbo kit?
Thanks again,
Chris
