i woudl say the 1.8T head as in VW head i presume, i mean you get 1 extra valve , lucky those blocks handle 450whp easily without ever opening them, i know its 3 intake valves and 2 exhaust, but ill just keep it simple and say its because of teh extra valve it flows better

exhaust flow is more important with FI , the intake side is under pressure so it flows anyways

if your talking VW 1.8t vs the honda head I would say the 1,8t would outflow it. That is soposed to be a pretty amazing turbo head.
I read that a stock 1.8t will outflow a completly 'done' vw 16v head (bigger valves, porting, unshrouding, etc..). alot of it has to do with skirt area of the valves, so at low lift the valves are flowing more air sooner as they open. Or maybe your talking about some other 1.8l turbo engine.......

also makes you wonder why VW is going BACK to teh 16v head in 2005 , a 16v NA and 16V turbo, i "heard"20v head was expensive

Yeah i'm talking about the VW 20v 1.8t head. The numbers i'd like to know are the exhaust side CFM . compared to a B series head.
