Default SManager (S300; 1.4.7.0) closed loop question

Is there a feature that will allow you to datalog and trace back to see what the ecu did during closed loop so that I can go back and make those corrections a permanent parameter?

For example: Hypathetically, if I were to be making a 3rd gear pull down the racetrack to make a datalog file with it in closed loop, could I pull up my datalog file and see how may percent the closed loop feature had to put in or pull and where it had to do so?

Big Stuff 3 comes with the trace feature for closed loop as i've seen it. Just don't know about SManager. lol

Open loop is for full throttle/high load conditions. The s300 system does not make adjustments via a target lamda table when in open loop.
There should be no need to do so if the vehicle is properly tuned.

The s300 system does have target lamda tables for datalogging purposes, however I would personally use cell tracing/datalogging instead.

Closed loop is for partial throttle/light load at which point you can set a target o2 voltage using a narrowband or wideband.

Download the smanager software if you have not already done so on hondata.com it is free.
Look over it & the help file.

Yeah, I really knew this already.

Oh, so it has this? Cool!

Wait, so I can't set closed loop to work at full throttle and high rpm's? What I was hoping was that I could do so, and then use cell tracing to find where the ecu had to make corrections and correct those cells. BigStuff3 has this capability. Makes tweaking the fuel curve that much easier and faster so less hours get put on a motor for tooning. lol

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here although if you go back through the datalog and watch the window (IE high cam fuel, timing etc...) then it will race through the map.

S300 will give you a difference map of what you wanted the target AFR to be Vs. what it actually was during the pull

He is trying to rely on the ecu to make adjustments at WOT, then go back into the log to see how much the ecu adjusted to reach the tgt lamda just like AEM ems does etc.

Oh I see. Why? It's not "autotune" man that's what they pay you for. lol

If it's better for the customer's sake in the end, then I suppose it's the best thing to do. Honestly, the only way i'd ever use it is when i'm finishing up. Before sending it out, set it in closed loop, load the motor again to see if there is or isn't in fact one or two wacky spots on the datalog graph. Then again, yeah, I suppose in some cases it could be used somewhat as an "AUTOTUNE" feature. However, you'll only be doing so as a means to go back and modify those cells that were adjusted in closed loop so that they're where they need to be when you switch it back to open loop.

Yeah, I know, lol, it's kind of lazy.
