Bluetooth Datalogging

Bluetooth Datalogging
I got tunerview for android and an RS232 bluetooth module but have been unable to get it to work. This is using a chipped ecu and crome.
I've been through the troubleshooting so I'm wondering about the module itself.
I see that the moates module is recommended
https://www.moates.net/neptunedemon-...don-p-298.html
But I really don't wanna fork over $40 for something I can get much cheaper. Anyone know if the module is in fact an RS232 Bluetooth transceiver? And has anyone found an inexpensive one that works well?
Thanks

UART module, not RS232. If you get a cheap one on your own you'll need to program it to the right settings and pin it out correctly for the ECU.

Re: Bluetooth Datalogging
Ok. I spoke with the developer for tunerview and he said moates, hondarulez, and elechouse all have the module (for anyone else searching). So I know what should work but I wouldn't mind saving a few bucks if I can find a more generic module.
I don't mind configuring the module myself though. I searched around for a UART Bluetooth module but I'm a bit confused though. I'm seeing RS232 TTL Modules that appear to be exactly the same as the UART Modules. All under the name HC-06 and HC-05. Whats the difference between an RS232 and a UART module?
Edit:
Is it something like this?

That's the thing when you DIY. You are legitimately doing it yourself. I can't help you with those options. A little work and you'll figure it out.

I just wanted to point this out - Just who do you think has been responding to you this whole time? I'll give you a hint - look in his signature... HAHAHA!!! Some of the best customer supported products for sure!

I saw the signature but didn't think it was Peter. Funny, I'm a little embarrassed now but I suppose there's no shame in checking all my options.
I ended up buying the electrohouse module (still awaiting it). From what I've seen tunerview for android is a great product but I'm a bit anxious to get everything working after fighting with crome for months now without blowing all my money.

Cool! Let us know how it all works out. I'm doing some component relocation and the blue tooth module is something I've been interested in. I have one in my other vehicle (non Honda) and it works great with my droid (torque app) .
Hhaving less cables and wiring is nice.

Update:
Electrohouse bluetooth module worked on the first try. I'm happy I actually got something to work. Now as for my ostrich problem...
But even though the module shipped from china, it took less than two weeks to get here and it was half the price as moates. Very satisfied.

my $0.02
I don't think TunerView is compatible with Crome's QD3, only the P30 QD2 protocol. Definitely only worked with QD2 last time I checked.
I wasn't aware the Android app had a selection for Crome either.

Re: Bluetooth Datalogging
That they do James....For anyone looking to find the right bluetooth adapter they need to look no further then Moates which supplies Xenocron with their adapters......I've been using their adapter with no issues for over 6mo with tunerview and linzster DL......only problems I've had which are unrelated to the HW or SW is random 2.4Ghz (bluetooth & 802.11) wireless interference that can cause errors in logging however the push of data from the ECU is probably non error correcting there for the logging is only as clean as the wireless environment from location to location
