Combination of more imports / more non-shop cars being imports running more stock parts / and the limits being pushed.

Domestics have 30 years of trial and error on imports in drag racing. Id say we've come damn far in the last 10 years.

to grannyshifting: EPIC wheel in motor street. my jaw about hit the ground when you did that.

too many damn half assed cars out there breaking. all these POS cars coming to line shittily thrown together with their puerto rican flags hanging from the mirror breaking all over the place. i swear if you dont have the money to build your car right dont show up to race at an event like that or any track for that matter where your wasting peoples time who actually did stuff right and the spectators time. i stayed till 830 because i had a 2 1/2 hour drive. and i wish i coulda seen a lot more racing but just too much stuff breaking

and DAMN to the kasper mustang going 6.56 It was just insane to be there for that. i really wish Tim Lynch would come to this event granted he would **** all over that class.

What does the puertorican flag have to with it.I saw plenty of cars breaking in all of the classes is racing it happens, especially in an event of this magnitude where the imports are trying to prove something and the domestics are trying to destroy the imports. But to stereo type one ethnic group is just wrong.

AGAIN IF IT WASN'T FOR CHARM CITY THIS CAR WOULDN'T BE WHERE IT IS NOW AND THAT IS WHY I PROMOTE THEM. JUST WANTED TO CLEAR THE AIR BC IF ONE MORE PERSON CAME TO ME ASKING WHY I WAS DRIVING THE CAR OR TELL JEFF GREAT JOB WITH HIS CAR, I WAS GONNA SNAP.
Well every time I went on to Facebook I saw someone posting something up about Charm City's car and how fast it was gonna be, how it was built in 3 days, how it ran a 9.1...all that, but it wasn't worth trying to argue with so many people that had been mis-informed. So I just waited until the truth came out, and now it's out, so everyone that I tried to argue with can be pissed off now cause they obviously didn't know what they were talking about. I'm sure Jeff, and others, helped you out with it a lot. There were a lot of long days and late nights all around last week working up to the weekend.

Anyways, congratulations again! Keep up the good work. Want to see an 8 second true street car soon!

Just saying.. things happen!! Take it for what it is!
yup.. that was me. I tried every which way to get those new goodyear tires to work but they just didn't... and after that burnout tire temps were still only 115 degrees..
And no i didn't oil down anything... maybe just a bit of water from an overfilled/melted intercooler tank from sitting around waiting from oil downs. Ironic huh...

Point is things do happen and rather then blaming everyone else about oil downs, etc, we should be enforcing catch pans, diapers, etc.. Blaming everyone else doesn't help anything..

Not sure how his comment in racist at all. He is not saying that Puerto Ricans are a***oles or they smell funny, he is saying that alot of cars that happen to break have puerto rican flags hanging from them.(i dont agree, just saying)

Ya'll have fun with that breakage discussion.. Just noticed in Outlaw vs Extreme listed Miguel Ortiz in a 94 Civic 7.99 @ 162. Haven't heard of or seen this car before anyone have pics/specs. I guess RWD. How did he do?
