Malls and parking lots have security cameras in place as well as security patrolling, yet stuff gets missing from those places too, am I right? Theft happens, it sucks, but it is a way of life, has been since the beginning of time. Can't always blame the venue. And there were cars there that with supporting equipment such as tow vehicles and spare parts/tools that were worth $1,000,000.

^^^agree, it is impossible to prevent 100% of the theft anywhere. I'm more upset at the non live streaming lol. People that are going to go are going to go. They will not stay home because they caun watch it online. What do you guys think about the index racing thus they will not have it next year, do you think the imports more specifically the hondas and evo types did not have a chance since 95 percent of the domestics are running automatics or powerglides?

Consistency is a major role in drag racing. Can you be consistent with a manual Honda, yeah you can. Can you be consistent with an auto tranny RWD, no doubt about it. They will run on the number time and time again.

Re: World Cup Update (Pics, Videos, Everything)
Your comment was dumb. You think they could secure that many cars and keep an eye on everyone? The place was packed to capacity with racecars. I saw one of the cars, the JMILLS Tuning car pitted all the way down at the very back of the pits behind the weigh station. There was also security patrolling and security checking bags and what not at the gate. The venue had security. What are they supposed to do, install cameras every few feet? I think it is more important that they take the track prep and safety seriously to keep people from getting injured rather than making sure that racers have secured their own parts and equipment while they are not going to be around their cars.

On top of it all I personally know some people that left because of all the weed smoking and negative crap that was going on infront of their kids. Is that something that is fair to them and should their be security for those things to stop?
Yes I love the track prep, fast cars all of it is great. But your telling me you can't spend and extra 600 dollars for 2 or 3 guys to patrol the grounds?

Re: World Cup Update (Pics, Videos, Everything)
actually your comment was the was that was incorrect. Those cars that were broken into had there cars locked like it suppose to be. Yes its great to have the track prepped and good to go but the safety of equipment important as well. The ripped of the up pipe metal protector of a car? explain to me how that is something the can protect. For an event this massive you would want to have security protecting everyone and their equipment. At a minimum there, should be security to for those that are there. They should at least have it for incase something happens with the people that are sleeping over the nigh in the campers. Also its a closed secured place, not open like a mall or parking lot.

You are telling me that 2 or 3 extra guys is going to be able to manage and watch over 20,000+ people? I take the bad with the good. Yeah, I smelled the knuckleheads smoking dope over near me somewhere and there were kids around too. I shook my head about it, but what can you really do? I mean, it is dang near legal and in some states it is legal.
As far as the cars that were broken into, again that seems to be something that is going to happen regardless. I have had a friend whose drag bike was stolen at a track event and he was standing less than 100' away from the bike. Someone decided they wanted it, jumped on it, key was still in it, fired it up and took off. Security couldn't close the main entry gate to the track fast enough and he was gone. Never got his bike back.
I understand the need for security and wanting people not to vandalize and steal ones possessions. This is the first time I have personally heard of anything like this happening at MIR and maybe the individual or individuals responsible will be caught and beaten to within an inch of their life. What I would suggest on top of security is the racers looking out for who they are pitted beside if possible. Keep an eye out for eachother. You yourself said "Also its a closed secured place, not open like a mall or parking lot" People may get a little complacent because it is semi secured. I can be blamed for it. I have trailered my car to the track and left tools laying out and my car unlocked and walked away from it.
Also, doesn't KPRO have a key, where if one is stolen it can be found? Not sure that makes any sense the way I asked it.

Our Kpro was ripped right out of the race car. Gone, Stolen. Two other racers had their Kpro stolen, and one other had their AEM Series 2 stolen. I have the information off of my Kpro. If someone see's it up for sale and could report it that would be great. CASH REWARD FOR THE ECU AND INFO ON WHO HAS IT!!!! Info is below.
Kpro Serial Number 14360
ECU was a 5speed ECU
Board # PNF-A13
ECU Serial # 372022-4Y07

I understand getting a laptop or wallet stolen, but having multiple ecu's worth thousands stolen??? From locked cars??? That is insane. Do you expect competitors to be ok with that, and keep coming back for more?? What the ****.does track prep matter if someone just took your engine. computer???

Re: World Cup comments
I was there Sunday.
The problem isn't the event - it's the people and the fact that more than half of this "community" has become derelict classless theives and half assed wanna be mechanics with ragged out junk cars that barely run let alone get down the track.
Just look at the MASSIVE piles of trash under the bleacher area. Really? Walk your **** to a trash can.
I also saw a group of guys smoking a BONG in the front row of the bleachers.
They don't really have these problems at other events because those 'communities' aren't flooded with thieves and shitty people. Though there are isolated incidents and that is going to happen no matter what. I was nervous even leaving my car in the remote parking lot (my S2000, not my prelude). I heard 2 cars got stolen from that lot the day before as well.
And people wonder why my car sits in a garage disabled for 99.5% of its life.
I hate to stereotype - but the majority of the people who were there to watch domestic cars were not breaking the rules and cleaning up after themselves. Furthermore, the majority of those watching imports were fine as well.... but the people I saw breaking these rules or being slobs or stealing things were all 'import scene' related.

A friend was pitted by the cars that were vandalized, they had their lock and trailer door messed with too, said there were signs of prying to the door/lock.
This is ridiculous! I 100% with Spoolinlude, it seems to be that first set of bleachers is always full of these awful people.

I've never attended MIR, unfortunately. However this is our community that is causing the problem. I have gone to both Honda days here in NJ and to the Yellow Bullet nationals in MD-every year for the past three years The odor of marijuana is present exclusively at the Honda events. Also I have never worried about getting into a fight or being robbed at a Yellow bullet event. Two classes of society with ultimately the same interest.

What I would have suggested was tell the local police or security and let them handle the situation. When it comes to the kids, especially if that will be the future of racing they should see exposed to positive things not the negative. Do I care if there were just adults present absolutely not, they are grown adults that have decided to do that, but not children.
I am guilty of it tool, I have left tools open and while I have gone racing before. I don't do that now because I know of the possible idiots and thieves there are. That sucks your friend had his bike stolen, plus he decided to leave the key with it.
In reference to the Kpro, I honesty don't know if its possible or not. I have never dealt with Kpro.

I understand its not my money that is being spent for the security, but like someone stated before, there are millions of dollars worth of equipment, parts and cars there. Extra security should be provided for these big events for the added security of those vandals that decide to stay at night.

Re: World Cup comments
Go to yellowbullet and see what the domestic/big race car drivers have to say about us. It's sad but true. They hate going to this event because of the "damn import bullshit" and they're right. They even discussed separate paddocks for import and domestic. That's how bad it's become.
The Honda "scene" has become filled with low life gangsta wannabe's and kids who can't afford **** so they take it. Aside from the stupid **** Honda's are normal known for (stance nation/sticker scene) we gotta deal with this dumb ****.

Bullshit, the honda 11.50 racers are on point, at least the etown regulars they run 11.5X damn near every pass in eliminations. 10.50 there are a handfull of cars that run the number regularly. and 10.0 well not a regular class for imports but it is for domestics, so they will dominate that.

Awesome weekend aside from the cold and the break-ins and damage, there will always be retards and thieves out there, all we can do is lock things up or put them in the trailer and hope for the best.
All motor class was awesome, aside from Outlaw vs extreme was the best class to watch as the cars were all so close and the races were all side by side. I have to say the 10.00 Index class guys have their **** locked down, saw several guys running 10.01s round after round.

Sucks they wont have index cars next year, but WCF is such a sick event.
