What's the current state of import racing in the North East.
For the last few years there has been some issues between the RACERS and OGS, which the main promoter of Atco and ETown. Numbers have gone down in attendance from fans and racers. Events though were never stopped even with decrease in numbers. Well then begin the feud and banning CCC, which very few know the reason why for the ban. The majority is all speculation because neither party has ever given specifics about it. Then this off season the ban on FTW in their races, which stirred a **** load of controversy by fans and few racers. Then came the forced change of an IFO event that was made ATCO and pushed to changed because of a event that was over 500 miles away. Finally everything has come full circle and ATCO has decided to not hold Honda day at their track anymore, who knows what other events it will be. It seems like a lot of issues are occuring and the sport is suffering. What must be done to collectively get the sport moving back forward to what it was a few years ago?

Everyone stop crying about rules and just race, you don't see pro stock guys bitch and going crazy cause of the switch to efi. They just worked harder this off season.

I think the sport as a whole is heading the same direction as Outlaw FWD...

Pro Stock guys are some of the biggest cry babes out there. Believe me that every single one of them bitched about every rule change over the off-season. Many of them are still botching about it.

Ferri/Elite haven't said a word publicly on it . . . other than their switch to MOPAR engines from the DRCE, you wouldn't even know they are doing anything.
Shane/Jonathan Gray have already tested at Bradenton and didn't say anything negative. Even perennial crybabies from the KB camp didn't say much.
Everyone is down a couple of tenths but the only complaint so far seems to be from the ruling NHRA has made on where they can pull the air from and how much.

Shoot, look how many RACERS and NON RACERS were just complaining about Locash's new FIS car that set the record this past Sunday LOL. So many people bitching on the IFO Facebook page that Cliff deleted everything. Locash followed every rule in the book and still people are trying to find crap to cry about.
So the argument that racers aren't complaining about things is total BS.

The Pro Stock change has been years in the making.. The reason it didnt happen sooner is no one could come to agreements on the terms. EVERYONE wanted something out of the deal.. NHRA had enough of the crying/bitching and put there foot down..

They want to Ban FTW, ok we get it, they hate FTW(OGS) but don't restrict me as a racer to both:
A: an ethanol fuel that is simply not compatible with my fuel injectors
B: A Gasoline based race fuel for which i would have to start over on my tune for one weekend and I DON'T RUN GAS!
I run Renegade Pro E85, Simple e85-90 blend. Its nothing controversial lol.
I tune my own **** very well but i'm not some master tuner that can just bounce all over the place ..............and no one is going to tune my car but me.
A: an ethanol fuel that is simply not compatible with my fuel injectors
B: A Gasoline based race fuel for which i would have to start over on my tune for one weekend and I DON'T RUN GAS!

VP C85 and VP Import only. Fuel may not be modified in anyway. The use of addition additives is prohibited. Fuel Cell is allowed – but must meet all NHRA safety Rules. Methanol is not allowed.
The whole problem is about money. They dont want other races that are slowly growing in popularity stepping on the other ones toes and stealing the potential customers away.

Please, I used to work for Warren Johnson and have talked to him and Nick Ferri several times on the fuel injection setup.
If anyone in this thread doesn't know a thing about NHRA Pro Stock, it's you.

OGS Just needs to die. If they would just let people run how they did at every other event and focused instead on track prep and bringing in big name racers the events could be amazing and people would be flying. Before **** got bad these events were amazing example:
. I understand that Javi and Miller have huge problems with each other but sometimes for the benefit of everyone else you just have to let things go. FTW is the best fuel out there right now and thats what the people who are going fast are using, PERIOD end of sentence. There are a lot of cars that are going really fast right now and quite a few that are going to go just as fast if not faster. Sure some of the old guard aren't out there as much any more but new people are coming into the sport and its making for some good racing just look at what is going on down in florida now. GRS actually seems to be doing really well down there. The cars are flying, they set the import record for a few days and have the SFWD record if iirc.
Edit: Watching that video again I thing that La Carla would have the record right now if they hadn't crashed. That car was just so unbelievably clean

GRS actually did do video recording in the north east. I believe there was an issue with them and javi. Miller and javi of course have had issues as well. I think its getting excessive but only the big racer have to sit down. Understand people will still race that want to race period.

that javier guy is a clown..
i am by no means a seasoned racer but i race and spectate many of ogs' events..and year by year ive seen honda day turn into a glorfied funk master flex car show..if it wasnt for the beautiful smell of burning rubber and race gas you wouldnt even know its a racing event..or an event that has racing...and its at a damn racetrack. They raffle off a car every year so that brings everyone away from the stands and into the car show/stage area just to see if they won a chance at getting the car. then you have like 3 areas for show cars whrre the cars all look the same and some look like total ****(not evenb hating..its just how does a car with any sign of rust or an unfinished project get to park in a car show)then you have him with his personal grudges which has affected the racing aspect of ho9nda day because now its the same people racing each other all the time..the guy has his head up his *** and doesnt listen to anyone with suggestions..he just chalks it up as hate and posts some bullshit quote on social media on how successful people have haters or some other corny ****..most of his events are trash now..the numbers are dwindling..dont be fooled by the drone video he constantly posts to prove he gets attendance ,over a big crowd fool you ..ive been to every honda day for the past 6 years and the number of true enthusiasts is coming way down...its now full of "ricers" and honda hoes..**** aint about the sport anymore /endrant
