what wiring to use for new harness.
Hey guys. I'm just wondering what type of wiring you guys have used when making a custom engine harness. I already have made a complete custom harness from regular automotive wiring and the stock Integra harness a few years back but I am not satisfied. I called Rywire and Chase bays but they do not sell raw materials. I would just buy a complete harness from one of them but I have everything a certain way that I like and I would be worried about length issues. It seems like the wiring they use is smaller. or it could just be me. I have a fully tucked engine bay and have taken out all unnecessary wiring but it still seems rather large. Rywire said that they use Tenzo r wiring. Good luck getting that. I cant seem to find anything on it unless its in Japanese. Any help would be great. thanks

Wire-worx. I just got mine for my 01 integra. Top notch is all i can say. He made it to my specs and what i needed as far as sensors. Race spec is another good one. A lot of the big boys use him.

I've had good luck with rywire harnesses. Lengths are always good and no pin issues. Race spec is top notch but more expensive. You can buy milspec wiring online and connectors and make your own as well

I personally rather do it myself. More satisfaction. Just looking for where to get the stuff. Wiring from like Napa won't cut it lol.

Mil-Spec Wiring
Race-Spec will also sell you everything you need to get the job done, plus he knows his way around the Hondas.

Damn that's a great link. The concentric twisted pre-pinned flying leads are a great start for a totally pro-style DIY harness. Saves buying some high-end crimp tools too.

I primarily build custom looms, but I do sell material as well. You can send an email to sales@racespeconline with what you are after - I stock nearly anything you will need to produce your own harness.
Raychem, Deutsch Autosport, Corsair MIL-Spec Connectors, Deutsch DTM/DT/DTP/DTHD, 4-26AWG Tefzel, Tefzel Shielded Cable, generic crimp terminals, sensor/components mating connectors, some OEM connectors, sealed relays/fuses, etc.
