Hey h-t, I have a difficult time figuring out which slicks to order.. My car made 230whp 170tq with b16 4.9 final drive at 8500rpm. I need to know asap so that I can order the tires tomorrow and hopefully itll get here by thursday! Gonna head up to the track this friday after work! I looked at bfgoodrich g-force r1, maxxis victra rc-1, mickey thompson street radial, toyo proxes r1r, rr and r888 in stock.. The smallest tire size i can run is only 15s due to the big brake kit Ive done on the car.. Please guys I need an answer asap so I can order tomorrow!
Oh btw its gonna be mounted onto gsr blades!

24's would work fine for your step up. you could try 23's but the rim will probably be to flat. I would use about 7psi as a starting point. Also those are mostly semi slicks or street tires you mentioned. Only true slick manufacturers are mickey Thompson, M&h and hoosiers.

[QUOTE=cksnah252;50478015]You think I'll have rubbing problems with the blades on 24s instead of 23s?
I doubt rubbing from the fender and rim, but that should be measured properly to figure out if it does or not. What I am speaking about is the rim being so low to the ground because of running a 22. I did a 22 with a 15inch rim and it was pretty close to the ground.

The fender well has the greatest risk of rubbing against the slick while braking after the pass. The top of the arch is where it'll contact.
