WEST COAST NATIONALS bounty awards and thing you need to know about this weekend
First of all I would like to thank Competition Clutch for Taking over as presenting sponsor for the event due to the cancellation of the outlaw classes. i really need to impress that the quality of racing is not changing as we have combined the 2 outlaw classes to the atp turbo fwd/awd class and the Supertech performance street power (all motor steet). when we all get together saturday night the drivers may decide to set up a gamblers jackpot but in the mean time, the atp turbo fwd/awd class and street power will be able to qualify sat night. and hot rod and pro all motor cars can race grudge night if they choose to.
The gate fee for sat is totally separate and is 35$ for a tech card and 5$ for crew and guests.
qualifing saturday night will be tenitive at 5:30 pm for first round and night time session for 2nd round
the official hotel of the event is http://www.sacramentomarriottrc.com/srw/ and there is a discounted rate if you decide to stay there.
also as of now the speed factory civic driven by james kempf will not be racing in the atp turbo class, they will be grudge racing some of the fastest door slammers out of northern cali sat night and sunday. we are really looking forward to this as we are setting up some dope grudge matches.
the atp turbo class rules are as normal with these exceptions

Chad, you're still keeping the hot rod and pro all motor class separate from the ATP turbo class right?

Wow, people are really mad that a race car decided to race in a class when the track was greasy and the air sucked? People should be mad that the track employees stated over and over that they wanted to rush everyone because they didn't want to be at work anymore. ...just sayin.

How the hell are people going to complain and say that they won't race if another competitor enters?
Racers show up and race, period. Not cry about who else is coming to race and say they won't run unless they think they can win. Anyone can win, all you have to do is show up and race. This "keep the fast guys out" mentality is the exact opposite of what heads up drag racing is all about. We do so to push ourselves and try to keep improving and go faster.
Be a racer - show up and put up your A game. You just might win a race someday. Navid showed up, did his best, and won. Nothing but respect for that, good job man!

wtf is that supposed to mean. really i bust my *** to put this event on every year and i am looking for another venue for added events next year but every track wants a mint to run an event there. if i were to rent out infineon or bakersfield next year for outlaw race who would come? i will bust my *** to get the sponsors back next year for the payout but i wont do it for no respect or people to doubt me or my event. my children do like to see there dad some times. really want to say thanks to everyone who actually thanked me for the event and screw the rest of you.

Chad, what happened to this????? You shouldn't have wrote this if you werent gonna keep your word on it. Alot of the guys would've raced in the sweet 64 class if they would have known. You probably think Im an *** for posting this but im just letting you know that alot of people were not happy.

Everyone needs to understand what it takes to put an event together. If we don't support it, we will not have another one.
We like to bitch and complain, but we are not willing to support it. That always happen no matter what someone tries to do.
Lets show them that we want to race, or we will not have an event like this and then we will bitch that no one is doing one.
Ill be the first one to say that the track prep might not be the best and Chad could do a better job at some things. But give the guy a brake, he is trying and doing it. Who else is doing it and even at the big events some one will be bitching about something.
I worked my *** off to get the cars ready for this even, but at some point I had to stop and realize that I will not make it. So I got in the car Saturday morning and drove 750 miles just to be there and show support.
IMHO you have something to say how bad this, and how bad that, just bring what you have and race, or come watch and have a good time.

Re: WEST COAST NATIONALS bounty awards and thing you need to know about this weekend
You "did" have a big boy outlaw class but you couldn't get enough racers, so to not **** off the big boys and not have a class to race in, you threw them into the ATP "street" class. So in the future dont post stuff up if you are not gonna commit to it.
