Re: V2 competition drag wheels
@89turboaccord Thanks for the heads up! I'm gonna shoot you an email for an additional discount on your next order.
@B20typeR I checked all our records for orders of the V2 wheels going back 6 months and all back orders have been fulfilled and shipped. If your friend ordered the V2 wheels and didn't receive them yet, I don't think he ordered from us. FYI, James at IPG currently has the wheels in stock so if you guys still need a set hit him up. Just a small piece advise though, please check your facts before you badmouth anyone especially us. We've always put 110% into serving our customers in the 13 years we've been in business.
OK guys, here's the official story. V2 ran completely out of front wheels at the beginning of the year but had a shipment that was supposed to arrive in March. As with most shipments from Asia (6-8 week ocean transport), it got delayed. In this instance, it got delayed twice by the factory and we had several hundred sets of wheels in limbo for 2-3 months. When we received word they had landed, it took another week and a half to get the shipment through customs. We finally got the wheels early last week and only black and bronze wheels had arrived. We shipped all our prepaid back orders and at this time all fronts are sold out again. The next shipment is supposed to be coming in July. If you want a set, I highly recommend you preorder and prepay so you are guaranteed a set. We are expecting them to sell out again.

Re: V2 competition drag wheels
Just run 5mm spacers on the front wheels for them to fit over GSR brakes. Otherwise they will hit the caliper. I run 5mm spacers on my car with these wheels.

Re: V2 competition drag wheels
well what about the rears? some people said they had to run a spacer in the rear (i think due to the hubcentric ring, or lack there of?) and others have said they fit no problem? im looking for a set or rear v2's btw!!

Re: V2 competition drag wheels
I just got my rear setup done. Old school RX7 spare tire rims with MT et front skinnies. Had to get an adapter plate to go from 4x100 to 4x114.3. They look pretty good and are pretty light and I got the wheels free but are inexpensive to buy.

Re: V2 competition drag wheels
Are those 24.5/9.0/13 slicks? Do you have any rubbing issues on your front bumper or side skirts? Whats the backspacing on them? I am in the market for the same set of wheels that's why I ask. Thanks

Re: V2 competition drag wheels
yes thats the size. only rubs when the cars moving and wheels turned all the way for sharp turns. not sure on the backspacing but its a good setup

Re: V2 competition drag wheels
Oh ok, so it don't rub bad enough to remove your front bumper to race then eh? That is my main concern because my current aero wheels I have to remove my bumper for them to clear. Which is a huge nuisance at the track

Re: V2 competition drag wheels
I thought I was the only one doing this...they are defentially cheap cool rims for rear runner's 15x4

Re: V2 competition drag wheels
I run these for my rear skinnies on a GSR and they clear fine. The only issue I have with them is the finish is terrible. By finish I mean the edges on the spokes, if you're not careful you could seriously cut your fingers. The spokes on mine are razor sharp, other than that I have no complaints
