Re: using rear ABS with AEM.
For 90% of the people you will use the non-project based workflow. This will setup all the tables as one file system. Most like how the old stuff is.
The Project based workflow is for tuners or people who work on multiple different platforms and vehicles. For instance if you have one setup and tabs for off-road racing and lump this type of people into this file system it will open up the same every time, than have another for a road race team or drag race team and so forth.
Hopefully this makes sense.

The AEM has the option to flip a jumper in the ECU and you can run either VR or Hall sensor. There's no need to convert to a Digital "hall" signal with the box. I mean you CAN, but its just an extra expense you don't have to spend.

Follow the link for a do it yourself kit to incorporate a rear wheel speed sensor. ;-)

I think he's doing it this way so his speedo in the cluster can read the rear abs sensor. That's how I read it.

I just want to run speed off my rear tire. For speed vs boost or traction control from both front and rear tire

It works with out moving the jumper and is good to run shielded wire.
If you set the jumper to mag pick up thers no pull up resistor so you have to set your trigger edge.

Yes, but in a weird way. You can log T4 Period which would be your second VSS. You can than write a math channel to convert this T4 period to a MPH. So you can view your front wheel T4 vs your rear wheel T3(VSS) to come up with a slip. However it is going to be slightly off only because of tire diameter changes from growth.
