My heart dropped this morning when James told me. What a great guy and competitor. One of the people I looked forward to hanging out with at the races. To Jenni and The Horsepower Connection Crew I'll be praying for you.

Does anyone know if this is the same Jose that used to drive a yellow CRX back in say... 1998 or so? I used to live in Lauderdale and street race with a Jose who had the CRX, I'm not sure if this is the same guy because it doesn't look like him in the picture?

Today we lost a great friend in the sport compact community. Jose helped everyone he was around. stayed late to finish people cars, and was an all around good genuine guy. his passing was unexpected and very upsetting for alot of people. now hes racing the big 1320 in the sky. dont think for one min hes not sitting next to everyone when there going down the track banging gears.
for who ever knew him and loved him when you hit that time at the track youve been dying for thats jose pushing you to get that time

After speaking with Jose"s GF Jenni she has asked me to come on the forms to ask for donations to a respectable funeral for a fallen Racer and friend. were not asking for much 50 cents a dollar anything will help. we need to raise some money by tomm afternoon 2/15/07. if we dont raise the fund Jose will not get the respectable service he deserves so we ask his friends,fans and the community to give a lil for someone who gave his all for his sport and was a great friend.

very sad to hear this. only saw jose and crew twice this season but i definately saw that he was a cool guy and a class act. my condolences to all who were close to him.

I was just with Jose and his brother at the new track in miami on Sunday Its still hard to believe that this has happened. It is an unfortunate accident and loss to us all. He will be dearly missed. Our prayers are with his family and friends. Im sure he will always be looking down on us at the track. Jose "Catinbita" will be in our hearts always. May you rest in peace Papi.
