Re: Speedfactory 7.995@189.2!!!
Well this post obviously doesn't claim worlds fastest outlaw. Eggum can't be discredited...it was never the worlds fastest honda. It's the worlds fastest fwd Honda...there's a fine line with everything. Worlds fastest fwd Honda is in a league of its own from a certain class. Whatever happened to the days when OFFICIAL records were set at events for that class? Now a days joe blow can go to a track in the woods with no one watching and beat the "record" and its the all mighty official thing for that class. This is an epidemic with the SFWD
LABEL.
Does MIR maintain records for its classes? Rewards for breaking them?
IFO?
OGS?
if not, they should. I'm done with this issue in here though, it's already been taken to far.

If you discredit records with that mentality, you discredit eggums worlds fastest honda, record. is that what your saying? Its missleading to not come out and say it was on a 76mm and that they took all the weight out. look at the pics and videos. it has a black velocity stack then it doesnt. it has door panels then it dont. it has a tailgate with lights then it doesnt. its an acomplishment and a mile stone. its a pb but is not outlaw and its not worlds fastest fwd (seen it posted).
I could have easily claimed it was a 72mm and at 2350lbs and stuck to my story. But I'm not like that. I have far more low 8sec passes and data than anyone else out there and know what it takes, and I don't want people thinking you can go 7's in one of these cars with no spray at 2350lbs on a shelf 72mm turbo and FTW Purple because you can't.
We've tried multiple different turbos on the car at different times same as anybody else. Nobody ever cares what a car has on it until it runs faster than everyone else. Then everyone cares.
We change all kinds of things testing every single time the car runs, and I don't need to make a PSA saying everything that we do, nor will I ever do so. Nobody has time for that, and I'm not obligated to tell the world everything we've learned. We are legal for every race we enter, and have the proper 25.5 cage to run the times we do at NHRA sanctioned tracks.
I've told anyone that asked me and plenty that didn't what changes we made yesterday. Many of which are obvious, many that are not. We put a different engine in it, ran different cam timing, made some suspension and ride height adjustments, put new slicks on, put a fiberglass hatch on it, took off the rear diffuser, and pulled the door panels out to get it lighter - down from the 2320lbs it was at to 2280lbs.
Fact is this is currently the worlds quickest and fastest stock chassis no wheelie bar FWD car and the first to run in the 7's. People are going to call it whatever they like since most don't really know what they are talking about, but everyone knows these cars as Outlaw and that is the generally accepted terminology that is used.
I'll just call it the Competition Clutch Civic from now on. People in general will continue to call it Outlaw, and you can continue to find them all over the internet and tell them they are wrong (unless Miller goes faster, then I'm sure that'll be called another Official Outlaw World Record). Good luck with that, can't wait to have this discussion in person!

Paul, I can't wait to head east and hang out with you again. I understand you guys not liking this, as I wouldn't either. But seriously?!? It's misleading that as soon as it went a 7.9 I came out and said that it has a 76mm on it?!?

LOL at Hot Rod. This thing is light years away from being a Hot Rod car. Not sure what we are going to do when we come east yet. Maybe we'll come play in SFWD/Super Street with Cole, tag team style.

I do like the idea of a tag team, then we can take you guys out in back to back rounds :p
I would love to a see a 16 car 8 second SFWD / Super Street Field, and this year on paper is the best chance yet. But we all know we don't race on paper.

James, I know it's light years away from a "hot rod car". But thats the class lol, I know u guys just want to go fast no bars, so that way u can keep the car how it currently sits plus what ever else u might learn between now and then, but have the good mine shaft air, and a great track, though obviously pacific was in great shape. Try to and .8 or .7. Just one of those thinking out loud things.

That would be nice, then we could sit back and enjoy spectating! No matter what happens at WCF you still win!
