Default Some 1/8 mile love, first time on slicks..

First my setup:

'94 Del Sol VTEC
B16A2 stock internals
SLS Shorty manifold; 3" open downpipe; WG dump
Garrett T3/T04E .63/.60 57 trim @ 10psi
Chinese Bar & Plate IC
Precision 780cc injectors
Walbro 255
E85
ITR Intake manifold
64mm TB
Crome free
Ksport coilovers
Full Race traction bars
Exospeed Racing Wheels
23x8x13 M&H Racemaster slicks

Car weighs 2660 going down the track

Launching at 8200 under preload, Full throttle shifting @ 8500. I can't get it to build any boost off the line, so Crome Pro w/ Gold ROM is my next investment.

1.88 and 1.96 60' respectively on the video, any tips to get it lower are appreciated.

any reason you were on the brakes before you went through the traps? or is their board just slow to register?

ya i was going to say that too.

Ya your launches look like you bog off the line. whats the tire pressure?

Isnt racing on slicks the best feeling ever? LOL. ONce you go slicks, you never want to race any other way again.

their traps display both times when the slowest person has crossed the line.

Tire pressure was set at 10psi but im not sure how accurate my $.99 cent gas station tire pressure gauge is.

I thought it was bogging too, which is why i was launching at 8200. I had a few other runs which i didn't post, the first i was launching at 7500 and it bogged horribly, the other i launched off the limiter at 8500 and it spun the slicks all the way down the track. I settled at 8200. The first run pulled a 1.88 60' and felt really good, the 2nd pass i was slow to WOT for launch control and pulled 1.96 60'.. the one that looked like it bogged.

Suspension is Ksport coilovers, front dampers are 2 turns out, rear is all the way hard.

I'm looking for input becuase i really want to hit 7's with this setup.

and yes, slicks are bad ***.

10psi is still high. lower it .5psi at a time to see how it reacts. once you feel that the 60fts arent getting any better each time you lower the tire pressure, youre at the spot where you need to be. find that threshold, where its low enough that it hooks good and you get your desired 60ft. But not excessively low that it hooks too hard and can affect mph at the top end with a too flat of a tire.

I was more afraid of it bogging because of hooking too well, but i'll definately try it

I haven't dyno'd it yet, but i would guess somewhere around 280-290whp.

I was actually hoping to find some people who have dyno'd with a similar setup, or ran similar times to chime in and see how it compares. There isn't much of a honda scene around here, so I'd like to know how my setup stacks up against some others..

More boost would get rid of your bogging issue and get you into the 7s.

A Cometic head gasket and ARP head studs will aid in helping you run more than 10psi of boost on the stock motor.
