Slowmotion Motorsports orange civic build

Re: Slowmotion Motorsports orange civic build
I still enjoy going to car shows so if there is a local show here in town I will drive it but other than that no it won't be street driven. It's only a 5 gall tank and it will only see race gas through it so I can't justify driving it especially with dealing with the chute and all.

The chute covers the license plate on my car but I made it easily removable. I will get some pics tonight of the chasis work I've been doing

Re: Slowmotion Motorsports orange civic build
I was going to get the car ready for the IDRC race in norwalk but just found out this week that my brothers graduation is on that day... Sunday wtf. Don't really want to miss that so we will have the car done for the next weekend and head to Michigan for the IFO race. There is a TnT that friday the 4th at NTR so I may head over there and get some low boost passes in to get my 1/8 mile dialed in and make sure everything looks ok.

Always liked your car. Car made 496whp on the 35r on 13psi right? Can i ask if you know how much the car weighed with you in it when it went 10.3 with the stock motor?
Also, can i ask why you went with the 6768? The price difference that ive seen is crazy. Like the DBB 6765 is 15-1600 and the 6768 is like 2100. The 68 trim turbine wheel isnt gonna help the car make more overall power. Its just gonna help reach its peak flow a lot sooner. Say if the 65 trim turbine maxes out in lbs/min at 35psi the 68 will reach the same at say 32psi (give or take, each motor and setup will vary). For the price and added lag, i personally like the 6765.
How much power are you wanting to make this time around?

Re: Slowmotion Motorsports orange civic build
car weighed about 2300 on the old setup. The 6768 will make a bit more power than the 6765. I had a buddy that did the two turbos on the same setup and made same power on the 68 at 4psi boost where the 65 was showing is was pretty much maxed out. turned the 68 up 6psi and made about 30-40whp cant remember. I got the turbo for a great deal...cheaper than the 6765 so those two factors made my mind up. I'm looking for 700-750 on the dyno when all done and then turn it up a bit at the track

Re: Slowmotion Motorsports orange civic build
Here are some pics of what I got done at my place over the weekend. I have limited time to work on it since I'm working to get a couple other cars done for import alliance as well but I squeezed some in I really want to get this thing back out on the track.
Fixed a few spots on the bay and shaved a couple more holes that I didn't need anymore. Finished the cage and painted it. Don't worry about the white on the sides and roof all the interior panels go back in so didn't waste the paint when I did the car before. What a pain to do the cage with the windows still in.

Also got the dash back in and the bars welded in with it. So much for ever taking the dash out again. Made sure all my wiring was easy to get to if I ever had to do anything. Also finished my gauge cluster I made test fit it in and now all I have to do is throw the gauges in it and wire them to a plug.

When do you expect the car to be at the track next?

I am a little confused by them too. Is it a twin scroll? How will that work properly when they are both on the same side? Dont they have to be on the seperate ones?
