There have been some set back though and yes it has been an expensive project, with much lost/stolen along the way of the build

anyway some more fun stuff:

even though that trans is missing some parts, that's a pretty healthy bill to pay for what is sitting there....those things are so nice to work on.

Looking good.. Those transmissions are very bad..

Once you drive a car with one you will never want to drive anything else..

Enzo what are your thoughts when it comes to RWD 4 cyl cars when running these Liberty Extreme vs. Gforce GF2000? Liberty Extreme transmission has 2 output shafts and 1 input shaft vs. GF2000 having only 1 input and 1 output shaft... Do you think rotational mass has any affect? Do you think that these 4 cyl make enough torque for the Liberty Extreme? We ran into this same situtation when Mel@Tag racacraft built his S2K RWD accord.

BTW very nice build guys can't wait till she's all done :-)

LOL... I know that but it doesn't answer my question. GF5R is not a true clutchless like the GF2000.

didn't like the fit and form of the g-force. It was placed on the car before.

You can do it lol... But we had that before the GF2000, it's really a clutch assisted transmission. I'm sure Louis from Paradise will chim in...

we are doing it actually. its a full clutchless tranny now, believe me. you gotta specify if you want it clutch assisted now when ordering. has been like this for about two years.

I run the Liberty Equalizer Pro Stock. It's all we need honestly with a 4cyl.
Extreme is basically the same thing but with bigger gears(necessary for more HP)

Equalizer's will handle 1500hp with no issues. I've seen the inside of some pro stock transmissions after over 100 passes and the gears look exactly like they did when brand new...
My tranny after 25 passes (and 2/3 the HP, lol) looks like I didn't even run it..

I have seen too many GF2000's break and i'm bias towards the liberty..

The 2 Output shaft design of the Liberty is ingenious and the only negative thing about it is the width of the transmission.. Also the transmission gear ratio availability is unreal. You can basically get any gear ratio you want..

The Extreme I believe will have too much rotational mass for small 4cyl's.
That's more appropriate for big V8's..

Gforce 5R's are cool for small HP stuff.
Make over 1000hp and you will be breaking those transmissions...

Also 5R's are basically modified Doug Nash transmissions..
They start life as a clutch assisted transmission. Gforce makes them so they can shift clutchless but I tend to agree with the statement that they are not a true clutchless. Not like GF2000/ or equalizer.

There are simply the best transmission out there, liberty that is..
But again I'm bias since I own one, but I'm willing to bet most people that own Liberty's feel the same way..

Don't understand why you guys don't run them more in FWD..
It's not like all those "other" "better" transmissions aren't breaking either.. lol...

Drag Cartel is putting together a motor for shaking down the car that should make some decent power and at the same time putting together race motors #1 and #2 in sequence to turn it up. Should be fun.
