Penske struts?
Any one using these?
i called Penske and they said for FWD drag they just reccomend the front struts. they are big dollars by the way. Reason i am asking is, my car has alot of upgrades and suspention is the one thing i kinda got cheap on and now i am looking in to replaceing it. i heard penske with its external oil resv. were the best thing since sliced bread. Any one.

Hey, how come the top-bar of your wheelie bars is so low...I would think with it at more of an angle, it would be more effective. *Shrugs*

it looked like he had tabs off of his cage for the wheelie bar above the tail lights. maybe he'll have bars coming off of them.

My friend ran them on the front of his race car last year. "TyWash" is his user name on the board but he doesn't post much. They worked really well for him he was cutting 1.45 60's w/ 26" M/T slicks and wheelie bars.

My race car has been set up for two different styles of wheelie bars. the bars you see in the pic are the experimental ones but they are the most promising. With out letting the cat out of the bag on exzactly how they work, let me try to describe them. well, in theory they create lift. fathom this, if i were to jack up the front end of the car simulating a launch, the rear will lift by 4 times as much, do to the 4:1 ratio. it does all this and it doesnt move by hydrualics, electronics or anything, but rod ends and chromoly. if in the end these dont work my car is set up for the more traditional style, in which they would be attached just above my rear tail lights. Back to my post, should i get them ( struts ) or not. Any one with a big or a big for them...

List of people known to use Penske shocks... Shaun Carlson, Stephen Papadakis, Chris Rado, Venom, Kubo Racing, etc. etc. If they work for them, then they might be worth the effort..

Re: (fulldragcrx)
Why don't you throw some Tokicos on there and go racing...dial in the rest of your setup, then switch to rebound\compression adjustable shocks once you can utilize them and 'need' them. It's easy to get trapped in the money pit of having 'everything' the first time out...but just get the car ready and go racing...Let the timeslips tell you what new parts you need. My Opinion...thats all.

Re: (fabman)
i would put your money else where. my front susp is locked up and still manages 1.41-1.42 at a local track. invest your money in the rear suspension. my struts are cheap as hell too, Tony.

Re: Penske struts? (fulldragcrx)
Our car uses penskes and it is not a tube frame chasis car. They seem to be working for us. 1.4+ 60' ft in an all motor unibody car. Then again like someone else said on the bored, it is only a part of the solution.
